Well, hate to say this but you're wrong, not every active account got an Email from CCP.

I have an active account and I didn't get an Email from CCP. And I also got the same item in 2 different gifts - Upwell Consortium Propaganda Reel.

CCP doesn't have to give out any gifts. I think we should all be glad and thankful that they're kind enough to do it every year.

I haven't got the extra items either :/ I thought it was a bug, so i waited a few days, but from what i have read here the mail was just a mistake.

The gifts i got were underwhelming tbh. Festival launcher, snowballs and a skin that i can't use.

I wonder about the fireworks. If I remember correctly they showed off some fireworks using their fancy new particle system on the o7 show, and stated they were intended for this years Yoiul event. Yet, on christmas day, there were only snowballs in the box, no fireworks. Maybe we'll get them on december 31st?

The special 12th day gifts must of been the snowballs and launchers because they are the best thing we were most graciously given by CCP during the event

Launcher and Fireworks today.. Still missing the other items from the email. Come on CCP, if you messed up the wording just have a dev say 'We screwed up, sorry.." rather than just going all mute. If you didn't mess up then you didn't deliver on what the email said.

Agreed, all I want is for them to chime in why this was done. We're not going to tar and feather them for it.

Don't be silly guys.

CCP owns everything in the server. You don't "own" sh*t and they don't "owe" you sh*t. They just borrow you revocable and limited rights of use over certain virtual items.

So all in all, you're complaining that the CCP stuff you borrow is different than what you think you should be borrowing...

I wasn't complaining about the gifts per se, or screaming "Geif!!". My issue was that I logged in but didn't get every gift for every day, and from what's written I wasn't the only one, so it's the disparity that makes me wonder, which is reasonable.

All I would like is either some sort of official response as to why this was, or that someone at CCP is / has looked into it.

It seems CCP is again in turtle mode: Ignore all criticism and questions until players have forgotten it.

It was the same with the changes to Aura. Hundreds of players complained, but no response from CCP.

As far as i know at least. Maybe they have responded ... on Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat or what ever social network thingy they use at the moment.

Did you file a ticket? because that sounds like an issue you should file a ticket for.

I haven't filed a ticket because that seems to me like "gief!". Ok so maybe I've lost out on selling some of the things I won't use, but considering the 1.4 billion I lost when they redid reprocessing modules / salvage while I wasn't active (which damn near crippled me leaving me with currently less than 100 mill), the loss of what I would have made from the skins is no biggie.

Also, as pointed out they were free, so do I have a right to complain or demand rectification? not really.

If there is an issue with the redeeming system, then that is the kind of thing that they should be made aware of. even if you don't care about the items, if there is a problem then filing the ticket could help them locate and fix it so it doesn't affect other players in the future.
