I'll try to keep short, you can duel 1 person in hi sec and the tournament tool CCP has already identifies a fleet and its members by an ID. Can we get the two combined for a fleet duel mechanic?. This would allow people to duel in small or large fleets without war decs. Even if there was a CONCORD bribe/cost like a mini war dec with a short timer but instant application. Like X ISK per fleet member for 20 minutes for example.

The long and short is if so much unconsentual stuff is allowed, why cant we do some consentual things like this without using suspect mechanics or other systems. The issue that would need covering here code/mechanic wise is neutral logi.

I know there will be lots of "well you could just.....x workaround" but this is has huge QOL implications for people learning or living on PvP without the commitment to a large corporate entity in any sec of space.

Leave highsec, problem solved.

fair fights and consensual duels don't teach anyone to pvp.

fleet duels would be worth having as another means to kill each other, and it sound simple but there are some things you have to solve. such as

Who accepts or initiates the duel? fleet commanders only, or should everyone be required to agree?

Do you restrict fleet membership once the duel starts? If you don't, then a fleet can pour more members in. Do you want this?

When do you turn it off / how does it go inactive? After the last kill or last aggression?

This could be used as a tournament tool.

My suggestions :

- Fleet boss

- Fleet membership is shown to both fleets and needs to be accepted by both sides (think like a trade where changing things before mutual acceptance auto-unaccepts). Fleets are locked once both sides have accepted OR anyone who joins a fleet after does not get the limited engagement.

- Fleet wide limited engagement. One fleet member attacking an enemy duelled fleet member extends the limited engagement for every member in both fleets. Want to leave? Drop fleet and wait out normal LE timer or have your entire fleet disengage.

This would be a key ingredient to a PVE suggestion I made elsewhere in F&I. Instead of making all PVE the NPC variety, how about player-facing missions that pit players against each other. Or fleets.

Exactly. Variations or different implementation options are fine, as long as the result works.
