When an item, module, ship etc. is made, in the information window if it there is a small section that tells whoever has it in their possession (in inventory or fitted onto a ship) the date the module/ship was made, the corp of the pilot that made it and maybe the region or system it was created in.

This should be easy to code into the game and whilst won't impact much directly it would be pretty cool to see when your ship was made, or how old that republic fleet warp disruptor that you looted from your enemy is.

Items in Eve are generally in a singleton state or a stackable state.

A stack of items is pretty much just a reference to its basetype and a quantity. It is indistinguishable from every other item of that type.

Unique traits are pretty fundamentally incompatible with this, and I think we'd all rather keep stackability.

Actually, no it isn't given the way EVE's entire item database system works. For this to happen, the way item stacks work would need to be completely rewritten for a fluff feature. Not exactly worth the effort.
