If you have applied to Pandemic Horde, don't accept the invitation to join till you have finished Dagan. Horde is war-decced by lots of corporations, and you will be fair game even in high-sec - and vulnerable during the mission.

I saw a Youtube clip once where a newbro was warping his Navitas to a belt, mining some Plagioclase, then docking up.
Some comments trashed him because he was doing simple, entry level stuff that, to them, didn't deserve a clip.
He'd been taken in by the beauty of EvE, as well as the distinct sense that you are going places and doing things within that beauty. It is a very pretty game, sound and motion only add to that.
Here at the other end of the spectrum, we have a thread about newbro stuff that OP thinks is worth reading about because he's doing it. Like gonzo journalism, there's quite a few EvE-related blogs about newbros that detail joining a corp, moving stuff, manufacturing a frigate or flying through a lowsec pipe. The blogs function as ego-vuvuzelas more than anything else.
Reading them, or this thread, is like watching a man at a restaurant take a picture of his dinner in order to post it to social media, commentary and emojis included.
