I created an account using the game from the EVE website. Can that account be used by the Steam version if I want to use that or do I need to create a separate account?

Thanks for all replies!

You can use a normal login for a steam account, but not the other way around. You can transfer a character to a steam account if you want, but it would cost 2 PLEX, 20 EUR/USD, 17 GBP or 1199 RUB.

As someone with one steam account and multiple non-steam accounts for EVE, steam honestly doesn't do much for you

Thanks for the info! There were some starter packs on Steam that looked pretty good. That's the reason I was asking. Thanks again!

I'm just going to mention that steam customer support is usually much longer than CCP and there's many issues with steam that CCP can't touch.

"Your security status has been lowered." - Hell yeah it was!

Thanks for the info. I'm sticking with the non steam version.
