Anyone who has every flown this majestic space potato knows what a wonderful and useful ship it can be in PvP with its decent tank and ability to fit reps and/or neuts.

Because of this, I believe (and i'm sure many of you would as well) that the hybrid turret damage bonus it has is utterly worthless.
So, I propose that the hybrid bonus be removed (while keeping the drone bonus, of course) and replaced with a more useful one.

Instead of the hybrid bonus I suggest a:

  • 5% bonus to armor HP per level
    • or
  • 5% bonus to armor rep amount per level
    • or (and most preferably)
  • 4 or 5% bonus to neut and nos drain amount per level

    • This would be a great tool for small Alliances that can't exactly afford 8 thousand Bhalls and are looking for a cheap alternative.
    It of course would be useful in other PvP situations as well. As for people who fly Domis for PvE, just buy a Mega.

    Bring on your opinions/trolls/OPisaseriousdipsh*t posts. I welcome them.

    (Comments from CCP on this matter would also be fantastic as I wish to see this beautiful ship flourish as nature intended it to.)

    Quite a while back I metioned something to the same effect reagrding Domis and the turret bonus but was scoffed at.What?

    Problem with the rep bonus is that's somewhat reserved for the Tier 3 BS.

    Armour bonus or more importantly Cap bonus for Energy modules would be useful though.

    Because clearly the only thing battleships are good for is being neuting drone boats right?

    Love the hybrid bonus to death, don't make it go away. Good in both PvE and PvP.

    Just because you don't use it doesn't mean it isn't used, and no one can exactly claim the Domi is underpowered and in need of a change as is.

    I'll agree that all Battleships could use a buff. The Domi could use a swap of the turret bonus for a 5% bonus to Armor Resistance per level, among other things. Let's settle on it being a Drone boat.

    Other ideas:

    - Boost its Drones.
    - Drop some Turrets, (1 or 2)
    - Give it better Cap stability.

    ...needs a nerf to prevent AFK missioning, Nul Complexing, etc and so forth. Since CCP is in a nerf mood and all.

    Megas are nice and all, but why the hell would I have trained all these drone skills if I wanted to fly a Mega? I like my PvE Domi just fine (don't really care about the hybrid buff, either, though)

    Reflective of its rival, maybe a sensor damp bonus. The little flight time I had in a Domi, a scan res buff wouldn't hurt either.

    Drones are a weapon system, nothing more. That's like doubling torp damage and saying the Raven is balanced because battleships are good for more than being torp boats.

    No, because....

    Domi already is a cheap alternative to a Bhaal, in it's own way.

    We don't need another rep-bonused BS in the Gallente line up.

    I'd still take the Hybrid bonus over 5% any day because it makes the Domi a beast and 25% armor means nothing if you have logi.
