Is there any real advantage to having caps in c2's ... i saw talk about building a carrier in a c2, but is it worth it? I mean are there any real tangible benefits to having any type of cap really?

All I can think about as advantage of having one in a C2 is because it would be funny. And as line of defense.

It'd be entertaining to suddenly drop a capital on someone that doesn't see it coming. It's one of my dreams to do stuff like that. Just got to get myself a cap builders first

I havent been in null wars for years.... last I recall a carrier kinda sucked at pvp, was really only good for triage

I know carrier repping things is over but did they improve their pvp functionality?

Caps got a complete rework, there are caps now dedicated to repping stuff. The carriers are now combat based. Have a look in game.

Insane.

Hole defence is reason number #1 for having capital ships in your hole, whether that means dreads or force auxiliaries is completely up to you.

but do capital ships in low-class wormholes are really worth that? . lets say couple of dreads/carriers in tiny c1 wormhole.,i only know that people like to do evictions because of capitals in low-class wormholes that why in my opinion using capital for evrything is bad idea.

if you want to invite people to come attack your c2, caps are a pretty great way to get that to happen.

Having a FAX on your side in a hole defense role would be a pretty HUGE advantage with how OP they are. Other then that caps wont really help you and if anything prob just invite people to attack you if they see you have a bunch of carriers or dreads

Subcaps are for pros, anything else is for old farts and a prolonged skill queue.

theres so much bad advise in here... omg this forum.

FAXes are op. i can count on one hand the ppl in wspace that can kill one that is fit right in a c2. So yeah they are pretty great for home defense.

Also nobody cares about you and your c2, nobody is going to evict you. Maybe wingspan/similar but you are 1 convo away from dealing with something like that.

yeah, except the attackers are also 1 convo away from ganking your 'OP FAX'. I would expect someone like you to know that.
