Diana Kim, you still haven't accepted my challenge

I'm more hinting at the fact that today's data does not see any measurable differences in the peak scores in CONCORD tests, as can be confirmed if you just take the test score results of the masses of capsuleer graduating in the last, say, 5 years.
If there's any non-capsuleer related census done by CONCORD I'd be highly surprised and as such am happily calling bullshit where I see it.

I don't know. Hundreds of "Intellectual charts of the cluster!"s of all sorts around galnets. Pick the one where Achur are like low-end and go with it if you want to trigger Diana.

I don't need a chart to know that that one is low-end.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if CONCORD published a census specifically to disparage the Matari. Isn't the Elder Fleet the only entity to have attacked CONCORD and come out on top?

They were stuck in an auxiliary command center for a pretty long time, if memory serves. I imagine it's just some clerk blowing off steam.

I recall the studies Commander Kim is referring to (as an aside, we Intaki were noted in the same reports to have the most well developed faculty of memory).

If I am remembering correctly, prior to YC109 CONCORD kept detailed records of capsuleers' mental faculties (or attributes) assigning a numerical value to them. On average Achura scored highest out of the gate in Intelligence.

This was prior to the age of cheap and freely available neural remaps, now-a-days it's not too hard for a Brutor pilot to match the intelligence of an Achura pilot.

It's CONCORD assigning values to standard tests for the end training results of capsuleers. Whether that is applicable to the populations at large is questionable - and obsolete since streamlined training and neural technology allows us to overcome this.

No argument here, I just wanted to share that little bit of information in the spirit of mutual understanding.

Of course the Amarr have always known the true value of the Minmatar. CONCORD was never needed for that even there report shows just how how one small sampling dooms the whole race.

For the Amarr and for the longest time, the Scriptures served as that source of reliable information. That is if I trusted such antiquated documents.

If I have learned anything from being on the IGS, nothing is to be taken at face value. There are depths to be explored.

For example this "rap" battle.

Mr Yaken has made, what I considered, a fair a reasonable offer. Not to mention and inspiration to each other's crew.

Ms. Kim has rejected the offer.

What I find interesting is that Mr. Yaken's confession that he is mediocre to horrible with this "rap". Thus an easy win for Ms. Kim unless she was truly just as bad.

Now why am I interested in this discussion? Because the nature of duel. The challenge for both. It would be a circle of equals for both and Ms. Kim and Mr. Yaken. It may not be a fair fight since the loss of face is even more valuable then the loss of material or cloned body.

Should this "duel" come to fruititon I would be very interested to watch.

I'm just curious, and this is clearly not a defense of Diana, as she makes use of this kind of thing all the time herself, but... when did accepting a challenge or duel become obligatory? At what point was it suddenly mandated that someone can't just be an adult and say 'no thanks, I don't feel like it'?

When Diana mandated it a long time ago by attacking anyone who refused a duel as having no honour, and also has equated having no honour as worthy of a tea ceremony.
One can of course obviously have a different honour code, but I really believe this one is a case of doing what you demand other people do.

Would a hypocritically ludicrous double standard in such an infantile mindset truly surprise you?

Right. Like I said: not a defense of Diana. My question is more: why are you validating her by reinforcing that position?

I'm surprised that people aren't more outraged that when two capsuleers duel the only lives on the line are their poor crews. "Let's them and them fight" so as to speak. I don't think any duel in anything other than a single-manned fighter can be considered anything other than murder-by-proxy or appointing champions.

Obviously the Amarr culture has a long history of appointing champions, which is all fine and well for Amarr, but I'm not sure that Caldari duelling has the option of choosing proxies to fight for you. Someone inform me if I'm wrong.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.
