What's the story behind the Amarr head plates?

Seems only the males have them. Is that a permanent fixture or a head cover of sorts?

It`s so they dont get hurt from their heads getting repeatedly ramed into the headboard.

It for getting thumped on the head with those bibles all the time for touching themselves.

Those gold leaf editions (for extra repentance) can be harsh.

Protective head gear from the days before they worked out how to create crystals safely.

Either have a highly polished head or get a head plate!
