If I have a subbed alt account... can I run through level 4's with my main fleeted with my alt and get standings bonuses on both? Or do I have to run the Alt's missions for him to get standings (meaning level 1's rather than level 4's).

I'm thinking about subbing a second account and wondering how I'd get good standings for breaks on trading fees quickly.

Standings are increased on both, split evenly, regardless of who stared the mission.

I believe there is a setting where you can change it so that only the mission runner gets the isk and rep.

When you say "mission runner"... that means the one accepting/turning in the mission?

It sounds like I wouldn't want that... the whole point would be to run lvl 4's with the main in order to raise the standings of the alt (who could also salvage).

edit: Also... what is the corp standing needed to get the lowest possible taxes/fees for the alt? 5.0? 6.66? 8?

As Francis said you have the options to share standings (corp) and rewards evenly. That is only for corporation standings and not faction standings, which you gain after doing the 'special' missions given to you every 16th missions.

To reduce the tax of sales in NPC stations you do need both good corp and faction standings, I'm sure you can google the math for this as well as I can.

Theres no cap on standings for the marketfees, the higher both faction and corp standings are the better. It does get rather hard to push them extremely high though.

The Accounting skill reduces your sales taxes. Connections skill increases your standings for friendly NPCs. If you are going to be running alot of missions also look at your Social skill, Negotiation skill and specialized Connections skills (assuming Security Connections).

Run career missions for the faction you want to boost standing and their ally - i.e. Minmatar and Gallente. Also run the SOE Epic Arc. With 6 sets of career missions plus the Arc and decent social skills you should be able to run level 3 missions. These are a better choice for standings than level 4. The Kidnappers/Gurustas Strike Storyline gives a huge standings boost - 26% corporate/6.3% faction the last time I ran it. Your main can run the missions, your ALT needs to request and deliver the mission to the agent.

I've used this technique to boost standing for several of my industry ALTS so they can farm level 4 research agents. They can go from nothing to +5 standing in a weekend.
