A scam in plain sight

James315 is running a scam in the MarKet Discussions forum.

Here is a link to the scam :- https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=141127&find=unread

I'd like to quote from that thread :-

"*** SPECIAL UPDATE*** We now have our very own blog at MinerBumping.com so we're officially a proper EVE business. Cool*** END SPECIAL UPDATE **

This "proper EVE business" purports to have sold 1 trillion+ shares.

As far as I know the only bodies that have shares in EVE Online are corporations.

James315 belongs to a corporation of which he is the sole member and which has 1000 issues shares

So these 1 trillion+ shares that James315 purports to have sold....What exactly are they shares in?

The fact is there are no shares....James315 is selling 'pretend' shares.

This is obviously a scam but the problem is there doesn't seem to be any mechanism by which the scam can be closed down.

It seems James315 can continue to take 'donations' from EVE players in perpetuity

I'd like to see this scam closed down. Could somebody from CCP suggest how I go about it?

Hello Mr. Halo,
I take it that you have had several disagreements with the Order of Highsec in the past and the objective of this thread is to somehow cause them harm. While it's not for me to judge the ethical aspects of your actions, I just want to point out that you have also uncovered the critical weakness of James 315's entire organization: shares.
All you have to do is acquire 51% of the available shares and you can become the new leader of CODE.
I admit that it's not going to be cheap and may take quite a while, but it's a good long term goal for you in this game. If I were you, I'd start buying shares right now to steadily grow my own portfolio for the great, future takeover.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Normally I don't do Code. threads cause it's all been said and done a dozen times here but I think I will this time. Your thread got moved to the place to question a scam. It's not about anything else but this is the forum subsection where you can get that information from.
