Hello guys, I would like to ask - if it is possible to pay for repairing of the ONLY hull on the station? For example, my ship is almost destroyed, I have armor reps fitted and I know that I will repair this after undock, but I would like to repair my hull before that. Now I need to pay for whole repair or undock, repair armor, dock, paid for hull, undock again... :) Thanks

Warp to a citadel and stay tethered, it will repair everything at no cost.

Or just undock, rep your armor, dock, pay only hull repair cost.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

I think he's talking about already being docked in an NPC station and not being able to undock until you repair. There is no way once you are docked to get around the full repair fee. The key to Shayla's response is to warp to a citadel before you dock in an NPC station.

If you just barely survived an NPC mission get to a citadel. If it's 3 jumps you have to weigh the repair fee against your desire to go 3 jumps to and 3 jumps back from the citadel. Early on the 3 jumps may be worth it. Once you are space mission rich, you'll probably dock and eat the fee.

If you're playing docking games on an NPC station and get stuck like this - good - you shouldn't be playing station games in the first place.

If I recall correctly (accessing dusty brain cells here) if you're in low structure then you can't undock. I think it's based on your skills. I don't remember the skill that gives you more structure, but I think it goes like this. You're ship has 100 hull points. With your skills (which get applied when you undock) you have 110 hull points. You dock with only 9 of your 110 hull points. The bonus isn't there in station so you try to undock with -1 hull points. The game lets out a hearty belly laugh and instead of telling you it doesn't understand negative hull points it drops into the 'repair your ship before undocking' subroutine. This subroutine doesn't have the 'repair hull only' option so you get a bigger bill than maybe you want to pay.

This sux for newer players. You just spent all your isk on that shiny new thorax to run your first L3 mission. It goes south, but you do make it out just barely. You dock, but now you don't have the isk for the repair bill so you are trapped. I recall being in this situation and luckily I had RL pals trying eve at the same time and I got a loan. At least these days if you keep your cool you can get your smoking ship (looks cool right?) to a citadel for some free fixing. Citadels didn't exist when I got in this jam.

You can use the fitting services though, so taking away a resistance mod and putting on an expanded bulkhead might allow you to undock and do some armor repping. You may have to offline stuff to get a fit that gets you out of the station. Anyone that's been in this situation in the past 8 years - please help the lad out.

EDIT ADD: The add some hull via modules only works if you have them in your hangar or there is one for sale (that you can afford) in the station you are trapped in (yes it's all coming back to me now). The game doesn't let you leave the ship if it puts your hull negative either.
