I thought it'd be a good idea for all of us, regardless of race or allegiance, to share some interesting events that happened to us while on expeditions, engagements, missions, etc. Bring us a little closer as capsuleers, not as amarr, gallente, caldari, or minmatar.

I'll start.

I just got out of the royal academy and I fitted my ship with basic exploration equipment, probes, scanners, and some basic gatling lasers for protection. After some uneventful scans, mostly combat sites, I came across an anomaly that was difficult to get an accurate scan. I forget what system I was in, but it was .6 or .7 security system. After I fiddled with my drones to finally get a lock on what the anomaly was, it was a wormhole. I got excited. and my pure inexperience and naivety drove me to get in there and figure out what's on the other side.

I don't know what's funnier, the fact that I thought I would still be in known space if I crossed or the fact that I jumped right in the middle of some sleepers.

So I jumped through the wormhole and as luck would have it, there was a ton of sights to explore. I neglected to save the location of the wormhole in my rush and jumped to the closest anomaly. As I neared a small structure and started scanning the cargo, my situational scanners went crazy. I saw I was outnumbered 10-1. I made an emergency jump to another anomaly, and was promptly destroyed by more sleepers.

Now I'm alone, with no equipment, in my pod, and I neglected to bookmark the wormhole I used to get here in the first place. After some desperate searching, I had no choice but to suicide and wake up in another vat, safe at home.

I've avoided wormholes ever since.

When I was a duster I was in a situation where we were outnumbered 16 to10 and we won because I had an officer dropsuit fitted with 4 armor plates and I had 2 logis with me with prototype repair tools and my other teammates helped us secure the point and because of the logis I personally killed a prototype sentinel dropsuit and took out all of their droplinks and managed to hold the point untill their MCC was destroyed.

Please don't! We could really, really use more capsuleers in wormhole space!

My favorite story was when me and a buddy were running Twin Rattlesnakes, shooting sleepers in our C5 static. Our scout starts to yell at us that there's a gang jumping into the C5 static we're in from our home hole. We scramble to get off the site and start bouncing around from planet to planet trying not to get combat probed. After about 3 minutes, they managed to nab my buddy, but while they're shooting him, no one was left at the wormhole back to our home hole. I warp right over and make it home with the loot. Thing is, it was his second Rattlesnake loss that week. Was a fun night either way.

Another one was when we managed to find a carrier in our C4 static. We had a fresh C4 pop up and as we were scouting it a Nidhoggur warped out of a starbase and began to clear combat sites. It was pretty clear the dude didn't scout one bit and just decided to start running sites. We get a Stratios to find and tackle him, then we bring in the fleet. We mostly had Proteuses, but I was in a Purifier. I got killed sadly, but I managed to hop into a Moa and get back on field to watch the Nid get popped. It was a first corp capital kill and was pretty cool. My Purifier was our only loss too.

One last story. I can remember once we were scanning out a C5 and managed to find a uncloaked Raven inside. It was just me and another corpmate, so I grabbed a Bhaalgorn (one that was very badly fit), thinking he was active tank fit and the other corp mate grabbed a Garmur. We warped on and took him down pretty easy considering his fit was designed to clear C3 combat sites. So I invited him to a private channel after podding, and we chatted for a little bit. Apparently he got lost for awhile and was scanning for a chain to highsec. So we keep chatting. The dude mentions he's interested joining a wormhole corp. Half an hour later I send him a corp invite. One of my favorite ways to recruit is by chatting with the people we've kill.

Wormhole space is really cool overall and I really wish there were more people out here.

((OOC note: P-NXT is not an RP corp, I am the only RPer))

I would go out into J-space if I had the right equipment, just bought a gas harvester and realized I can't use it. DIdn't inject the right skill. I took a gander at another wormhole just yesterday. I didn't find much aside from gas clouds and combat sites, so I left to later find a relic sight in known space, low sec. I was excited. I started analyzing when I saw a little frigate blip on my situational scanner. He flew past me so I thought he would pay me some respect and let me gather up this site. I was wrong. came back with a drone and blew me down to hull before I managed to warp out to station. At least I had about 600k isk in loot.

Gas harvesting is a really good way to make isk as a new capsuleer. Remember to always bring a spare set of probes! I don't really want to clutter up this thread, but if you want to ask more questions or really anything about J-Space, drop me a mail sometime. More than happy to help a newbie out.

Well, about an hour ago I made my first foray into wormhole space looking for rare ore. Found some right away, bookmarked the exit, kept my scanners up, and started cracking open a crokite roid. Local was empty, scanners showed a single guy about 1 AU away, holding, and the belt was quiet.

Not five minutes later I got a notification from a pilot who wasn't in any of my open channels.

"you realy should be orbiting when mining."

Needless to say I left immediately. I imagine I'm probably the luckiest girl in Metropolis right now, considering I got out of there with my ship, crew, half a hold of rare minerals, and a warning.
