corp and alliance standing fleet?

I feel there are a lot of hoops to jump through to keep a standing fleet up and most the time i just want to be quickly warp to a corp mate.

Counter proposal; put in a corp setting that allows you to warp to corpies. Turn it on and off like friendly fire.

New corp role: Initiate vote for new boss

As long as a person with this role is in fleet, you never need to fear 'Internet drops' and boss getting passed to AFKers.

Boss drops, fleet advert drops. If this has happened, person with 'initiate vote for new boss' gets the option to Initiate a vote for Boss.

Initiating vote for new boss gives everyone a Notification (you have to click your notifications to see it).

Everyone at keyboard can vote to give the person who initiated the vote, fleet boss.

-- unless there's a big pass due soon, could be the quickest way to shoe-horn in the feature using today's established role mechanics.
