At the moment i am in Jita it is very cut throat and i am struggling to match the hardcore traders who play the 1isk game, i wonder if someone would be willing to tell me which trade hub would be more suitable for a new player to get to grips with trading in general, i am reluctant to haul anything to or from jita in case i gat ganked and loose what i have. i believe my choices are hek rens amarr or where i am jita.

thanks

You don't need a trade hub.

You should plan on setting region wide buy orders and on selling the inventory thus acquired in situ using the marketing skill.

If you plan on running missions to increase standing(and increase trading capital) the stations you trade from will be determined by where you run missions from.

You should choose a level 4 agent to aim at and work backwards to a lvl 1/2 agent in the same corporation to determine where you commence trading.

I hope this helps Smile

The fasted way IMO to grind up corp standing is blitzing lvl3 security missions with a T3 destroyer. Make sure you have a couple of agents close by and that you carefully track the missions you run, in order to chose the right agent for the 16th mission to attract a the storyline agent of the same corp.

What's wrong with the 1 ISK game? Someone is always going to undercut you.

Doth thou hate profit?

May the market bless you and keep you;

May the market make its opportunities shine upon you and be profitable to you;

May the market lift up its margins upon you and grant you ISK.

Sell where people USE things. Buy where they produce them. Stacmon is the trade hub next to low sec eve uni camp and gal/cal mil FW. So you will find customers there. Sinq Laison is where people produce things - you should be customer there yourself. Just an example. Of cause if you have balls to make deliveries into low sec FW trade hubs you can get even better money there... Vlillirier, Sujarento, Aivonen, Nennamaila, Kamela - pick yourself.

... but managing all the spread orders in different regions is actual effort (or investment in alts). Orders in smaller hubs should be of the kind, set once update never or only when you pass by anyway. Of course this means, capital is locked for a longer time. The 0.01 ISK game in Jita is not too difficult, with 2-3 orders running in parallel I usually get my daily output sold every evening while I'm online.
