I suck at trading and just want to go do pvp. I call that a plan ;)

Hi! What christmas spirit! (shame your leaving though)

I'm still a bit of a noob but one that would love to start living in wormhole space and setup my own POS'es so I can do reactions and PI to make all the isk. Of course a venture like this has quite some startup costs for ships and the towers as well as an hauler alt to start getting all the beautiful reactions and compounds out so a donation would be most helpful to get to break even and positive quickly. It would also get me going right away instead of having to wait for a few months. I'm currently doing exploration, mining and fabrication and a little bit of trading until I have everything sorted out. I'd really appreciate it, nonetheless very cool of you to share your wealth with others trying to do what you did and make all the iskies upon leaving this game, hope I will once be able to do the same.

Hi there! As others have mentioned before, it's a shame you're leaving such a great game, and hope you come back some day, if not good luck in your ventures IRL.
As with my business plan, I have been a trader since I started playing the game. I obtained my first 500m isk through mining and exploration and used that as my starting capital. So far I have been running hub to hub trades mostly but recently I have decided to purchase a cheap trader alt and start station trading.
My eventual goal is to have one station trading toon in each hub, along with my 6th and main char running hub to hub hauls, so you can say I've taken the second step towards my goal. Big smile

Your 5b, if you decide that I'm worthy, will be used as extra starting funds for my new station trader in Dodixie Smile currently I have 2b liquid for her so 5b extra will provide a great boost to my new venture!

Thanks for reading and your consideration =)

I do a bit of trading but it's low volume with low reward due to low isk pool.. But i Really want to get into manufacturing, so I'd need t buy a fair few bpos, and research them, and then start that whole manufacturing deal. And eventually when isk allows it I'd like to start capital manufacturing, been wanting this ever since I started. I'd like to go on to T2 manufacturing but that I know very little about.

Hello! I'm planning to go into Freighter and Orca construction already have the skills trained to build them, but the blueprints for these are quite pricey, considering all of the construction part blueprints you also need, aside from the actual final product blueprints. All of which is quite expensive, though I'd like to do all the research myself to help offset costs. My corp is a small operation, and this kind of a cash bump would allow us to build a complex for doing the research, which we'd like to allow to be open for public use in our area of operations once it's online. I've been doing a lot of smaller construction, mining barges/indy ships, but Freighters and Orca's are the main goal we're shooting for, and of course, can't forget the cost of needing to hire protection forces should the need arise, and, being as industry is a dangerous profession, will certainly need it!

The question of how to make isk has bugged me for a while. I'm in this game mostly for the interaction with other players, so I'd rather avoid pve activities in general. I just can't see myself spending days mining, ratting or station trading. I'm also probably the biggest frigate lover out there. So I tried to figure out a way to make good isk, in frigates, doing something that is not as mind numbing as the aforementioned activities. Here's what I cooked up:

1. Exploration. Initially planned it as a short term goal, due to it having low sp and isk requirements, I've found myself enjoying it a lot. I do exclusively wormholes and nullsec, which keeps it constantly challenging and exciting. Due to that, I think I'll keep doing it moving forward, ideally moving into CovOps or the sexy beast that is the Astero.

2. Burner missons. Good isk per hour, a pve activity that is actually challenging and, cherry on top, restricted to frigates!? Talk about a wet dream. The drawback is that getting into it is ridiculously costly, both SP and isk wise. You essentially need several, quite blingy, pirate frigates as well as implants. Of course the benefit is that I also get to use those same skills to go pvp afterwards, as well as for step 3 of my master plan.

3. Moving into a shattered wormhole. I have a friend who is obsessed with wormholes and keeps nagging me to move into one with him. I am obsessed with frigates. Enter shattered wormhole, restricted to frigates. Has the benefit of checking all the boxes I want an activity to offer me and uses the skills already trained for the previous steps, thus being a natural transition.

In between all of these actvities of course, I would be testing my steel in pvp!

That is all for now. Your isk would obviously help a great deal, but whether I get it or not, wish me luck. If you have any questions or suggestions, I'm also open to that.

Best regards,
Edwin.

That's not a very good business plan.

Just give them some of your ISK :-).

My business plan is simple: I manufacture things, and sell them at a profit. Having experience in trading, mining, and manufacturing, and being skilled in the arts of spreadsheets and accounting, I am confident I won't make many losses at all. I am currently building a manufacturing corporation; I cut costs by looking for the best cost indexes, the cheapest materials, and if I can't haul the materials/products myself, the cheapest freight. So far, I have not made a loss. My plan is to expand my small corporation in to an industrial powerhouse, and once we get our first Raitaru, things will head in that direction much faster. Eventually I plan to supply alliances with fairly-priced equipment, munitions, and goods.

A 5 billion ISK boost would certainly not go to waste, and my corporation makes an effort to support other player corporations as well by preferring to rent offices in citadels, by using capsuleer-owned facilities for our research, and forming trade agreements with mining corporations.

So I am a returning player, who started EVE a few years ago and ran into the starter trap. I didn't do enough research, so I earned my first battleship by doing missions and then went straight into 0.0, after hearing how easy it would be to earn money out there. Long story short: I dropped into the great TEST war for Delve and lost far more than I could earn.
When I returned to EVE this year, I had almost no money left. But I learned my lesson, for I now know what "only fly what you can afford to lose" really means.
This time, I've read all the stuff at EVEUni, the forums and Reddit and actually tried to learn about the metagame.

My plan:
First, I'll seek to earn a safe and steady income, so that I won't fall into nothingness if my ventures should fail. Seeing that I am mostly trained in combat ships, I bought a Machariel for Incursions and will be doing them for a while to build up a good money base, just to be safe. It took a bit to farm for this ship, but the Incursions are worth it. If all else fails, I can always get some money there.

But in the end, this game is a capitalist economy simulator. And that's why I plan to make money by trading. Since successful trading needs experience and an understanding of the market, I am currently training into freighters (this will take a month). By flying or Red Frog, I hope to get a better understanding of the main trading routes and goods. When I start my own trading ops afterwards, the freighter skills won't be wasted.
Right now, I am already doing missions to get my standing up in the main trading hubs, since I suspect even small taxes can really add up in large trading operations.

The money would be used for the freighter and as a boost to my start-up capital for trading. Since the economy of scale makes profits rise proportional to the investments done, this would help a lot.

Thank you for your time.

I am also a new player. Started with an alpha clone and realized quickly that wasn't enough. I have been thoroughly enjoying exploration. I've made around 250 mil in the short time I've had to play. Have been saving up for covert ops ships, but i recently got a new irl job which has hindered my exploration plans.

If you were to generously grant me a chunk, i would use that to buy ships that would allow me to survive more encounters and blow up less containers because my coherence is too low. It would also allow me to learn in a more stress free environment, which would increase my isk output as well.

After exploration i want to try out some pvp. Isk obviously helps this as well.

Either way, your money mate. Sorry your time in eve has come to an end.

I've always liked Eve for the industry/research part...
Also trading interests me,

If i Would receive 5b ,

i would use it to first hone my research and industry skills a bit higher,
Then i would buy a few Decent BPO's ( read : more expensive ) and start copying and researching them to their T2 variants.then i would start creating the items and find to make a deal with a corp that needs them to offer a supply line for them.

That if i have the funds needed :)

Basicly said , i would set up a production line !

To some this might sound ridiculous, but to me it's what i want to do in EVE

Thanks for reading this

With 5B,

I would like to setup an engineering complex to create a place for new members of our alliance to
learn the fun of industry.

It would also serve as a learning platform for our older members in the ways how eng complex management works.

Any left over money would be used to purchase some basic blueprints & material for training purposes.

I would be very surprised if Fin is actually RogueHalo. Rogue was an MD regular back in the day when I was starting out. Fin was asking for a 1bil first-timer bond at the start of this year.

Find an industrial hub, or any less visited hub like Hek and buy off all the decryptors you can find. Re-sell higher.

I'm kinda noob in trading, but that's what I can come up with. Might work, idk.
In any case, It's a start :P
