I'd be all for it if we got rid of those hideous lag and tidi creating fighter/heavy fighter throwing-up monstrosities called carriers and super carriers.

tends to be just as much with out them... in fact iirc drone boats are a heavier load than carriers

As far as I know the Guristas, Mordus, angel cartel, blood raider, Sansha might get a pirate titan and supers.

Yes we need more ships which are ridiciolus overpowered in big groups.

5 drones instead of 3 and much easier to field in large number. Crushing a node with supers would need hundreds of supers in the system. While it can be achieved, they are still somewhat rare if you compared to characters that could run a 5 drone doctrine ship.

Supers field 5 groups of up to 10 fighters with all sorts of fancy special abilities, weapons and missiles.

Supers field 5 groups. The "Up to 10 fighters" part is irrelevant.

The group is the only entity being tracked by the server. The individual fighters are just a number in the stats for the fighter group - it's literally no different than HP, tracking, or any other stat.

I'd be surprised if they cause more load on a per-unit basis than normal drones. They're a little fancier, yes, but the code is newer, likely better optimized, and they have no AI.

I doubt that because these fighters use a lot more mechanics and weapons, which require a lot more range and damage application calculations, than AI powered drones.

Not really - the individual activation calculations themselves are likely no different (same basic inputs, different values). Their attack cooldowns are longer than normal drones, so net activations really isn't much higher, either, especially with rearming required.

About the only thing that is likely to be more expensive is the bomb launch on the long range heavies.
