personally, i run 60 planets. when i move, the act of setting up 60 more planets EXACTLY like i had is tiresome and extremely time consuming. its just something we have to deal with.

what i am suggesting when the PI revamp is started, is a copy setup button.
i can copy my production planet, save it under config just like ship setups and duplicate by clicking a button. all we would have to do is scan the area, find where we want to setup, push a button and drop save file #1 onto the area. BOOM...planets ready. drop drill heads and push go.

once setup, i can share my setup with my alliance/corp mates to expedite or streamline their process but more importantly, new players who dont do PI can take our setup, drop it on a planet and make sure its done right. itll get them into it much quicker.

we do it with ships, just take that technology over for planets.

This would be extremely helpful and time saving, I run 30 planets, which all use only 2 different layouts (Extractors and Factories). This would save players many hours frustration.

Honestly, PI just needs a revamp in general.

I'm hoping that any PI revamp we eventually get is a massive overhaul that renders the issue moot.

While we're iterating PI, group and autoroute setting would be extremely nice. Repurpose your extractors manually, then change the schematic once for each set of processors. Materials route on their own.

For setups with more than one storage area, perhaps allow designated input and output locations, or checkboxes for p1, p2, etc.
