I've been mission running with some mates new to the game as I've got enough LPs for a good 5 or 6 Hookbills. Sold them all except for one - I'm thinking of setting it up for small gang tackle, maybe 1v1.

What do you think?

Do it Hookbills are one of the best frigates. Great tank, Decent DPS, Decent Speed/agility and lots of mid slot utility.

I think you should keep using your LP to buy Hookbills! Excellent LP conversion.

I know a few successful pirates that started their pirating career with Hookbills.

If the assault frigate buff goes through as it is now, sell your Hookbills, they're completely obsoleted by the Hawk.

For now at least, dual web fitted it's a good ship if a little too hard to fit.

Fight a Hookbill in any frigate, it should make things clearer.

Hookbills are great brawler frigates. So yeah, fit it up. They aren't the best tackle frigates since they favor AB+scram but they are superb solo or in small roaming frigate gangs.

From what I've heard: go ahead! They are good brawling frigs with very consistent DPS application using rockets combined with an abundance of medslots. (If I had better missile supports, I'd have one or two in my hangar.)

Its range of viable targets is about to shrink fairly significantly though.

Then again, I see a lot of dead Enyos in the near future. Shame the Hawk will still be vastly better.

lols i just posted in another thread to someone else suggesting a hookbill.
ive recently been searching through faction frigs and picked up a hook just to see and found with T2 rockets and tackle gear its fast and mean.
+ 1 to the Hook.
