Does anyone know if their are any new ships on the horizon????

I would love to see more Sister Ships... (different designs, not using the same ship already in the game)

People have had so many ideas i think we need a new competition on ship design!

There has been talk of a Cardari/Minmatar pirate faction for ages. Probably revolving around armor tanking and projectile weapons. Even CCP has said they like the idea a few times.

Personally I imagine something revolving around a stupidly huge optimal bonus to autocannons (maybe a large penalty to falloff as well, but no range bonus/penalty to artillery) so they don't fight in falloff and don't need too much speed to be effective. Seems to me like the sort of semi game breaking thing that pirate ships are all about.

But it has only ever been talk. The Mordus ships were originally going to be Cardari/Minmatar but they were changed to Galletne/Caldari at some point in the design process as CCP felt it fit their backstory better. Who knows if we will ever see a Cardari/Minmatar pirate faction.

As for specific ships, aside from an armor tanking/projectile weapons pirate faction, what role/roles would these new ships fill?

I would love to see new weapons introduced, i have been playing eve for far too long and its the same weapons over n over every time.

Why not add a shield drain hi slot mod similar to a NOS? why not an armor one? Why not add repulse fields - push a target around grid? What about a shield ramming mod that lets u ram your opponent at expense of shield life? Maybe one for armor that lets u push your enemy like a tug boat?

-realistically they can go any direction they want.

Why not cross ECM boats? IE: caldari with dampers, amarr with painters, and galls with tracking disruptors?

It would make sense of all these empires are locked in wars that they would adapt to counter each others tech? or maybe even apply the tech of their allies?

just saying: add new things! not just visual changes to what we already have.

It wasn't too long ago that the FAXs and the Serpentis faction capitals were released. When you talk of introducing a new ship to Eve you are quite literally talking about introducing a new species into an ecosystem. Can't just do that willy-nilly, gotta collect data on the effects your previous releases and balance passes are having first.

Besides the Blood Raider capital ships and Concord ships (available to those who buy tickets to FanFest) no new ships have been hinted at. Thank god, there is plenty that needs tweaking before a new ship should be thrown into the mix.

We already have Cardari/Minmatar ship, is Golem. Has shield/Missiles, with Target painter which is minmatar bonus. They should fix this first and then release new ships ^^

This year we got an ice mining frigate, an orce-light, t2 logi-frigates and a less broken svipul.

We should focus on fixing some other things like modules first.

Im not sure if EVE even needs more ships at this point.
