Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a
fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its
whole life believing that it is stupid.

The secret to creativity
is knowing how to hide
your sources.

I never think of the
future. It comes
soon enough.

Success in life = X + Y + Z.
Work is X; Y is play; and Z is
keeping your mouth shut.

The only thing that
interferes with my learning
is my education.

I don't know, I don't
care, and it doesn't
make any difference!

I want to know
God's thoughts...
the rest are details.

Funny how many cool quotes of Allied generals from WWII can be found and how hard it is to find any cool quotes from Axis generals. So I had to do a lot of internet research to dig at least some of them up, in an attempt to bring balance to the force(s):

"Gentlemen, you fought like lions...but you were led by donkeys."
Field Marshal Erwin Rommel

"Sweat saves blood. Blood saves lives. Brains saves both"
Erwin Rommel

"Please don't worry about me, I'm a hopeless optimist."
Last words of Grand Admiral Wilhelm Canaris when facing his execution squad

I couldn't find any remarkable quotes by Japanese officers however..maybe they were never translated into English?

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Only one Pratchett quote in 14 pages? I am so disappointed...

“Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.”

― Terry Pratchett, Jingo

“Time is a drug. Too much of it kills you.”
― Terry Pratchett, Small Gods

“No! Please! I'll tell you whatever you want to know!" the man yelled.
"Really?" said Vimes. "What's the orbital velocity of the moon?"
"What?"
"Oh, you'd like something simpler?”
― Terry Pratchett, Night Watch

United States Ambassador to the Soviet Union
In office
October 29, 1979 – January 15, 1981
President Jimmy Carter
Preceded by Malcolm Toon
Succeeded by Arthur A. Hartman

...
Watson Jr. attended the Hun School of Princeton in Princeton, New Jersey.
...
The turning point was his service as a pilot in the Army Air Force during World War II. Brother "****" (Arthur) Watson had dropped out of Yale as a Major in Ordnance. Tom Jr. became a Lieutenant Colonel flying military commanders. Tom Jr. later admitted to journalists that the one career he would have liked to follow was an airline pilot. Piloting came easily to him and for the first time he had confidence in his abilities. Toward the end of his service Watson worked for Major General Follett Bradley, who suggested that he should try to follow his father at IBM. Watson regularly flew Bradley, the director of lend-lease programs to the Soviet Union, to Moscow during the war. On these trips he learned Russian, which would later serve him well as the American Ambassador to the Soviet Union.

Watson returned to IBM at the beginning of 1946. He was promoted to be a Vice President just six months later and was promoted to the board just four months after that. He became Executive Vice-President in 1949.

IBM President
Watson became president of IBM in 1952 and was named as the company's CEO shortly before his father's death in 1956. Up to this time IBM was dedicated to electromechanical punched card systems for its commercial products. Watson, Sr. had repeatedly rejected electronic computers as overpriced and unreliable, except for one-of-a-kind projects such as the IBM SSEC.
