Bringing Minmatar space back

I made a post recently about bringing Minmatar space back up economically:

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6750687#post6750687

I'm regretting the title, but whatever.

In my ongoing effort in this regard, it dawned on me that an interesting spot for a good market hub could be Teonusude in the region of Molden Heath. There's already an existing market there and a lot of citadels.

There are also nearby nullsec entrances, as well as 3 lowsec systems within 2 jumps. Furthermore, there are a few Level 4 mission agents, as well as 2 recurring ice belts.

Furthermore, it's a short trip (14 jumps irrc) to Dodixie, shortest route, no lowsec.

I'm putting it out there that industrialists move some efforts to Minmatar space. If Rens is a bad spot for you, or Hek even, Teon is a good alternative. Things do sell out there! I've done it. There's a decent population of people in the area, PVPing, as well as (smaller) nullsec groups going through there quite often. People pop out of wormholes all over the area looking to sell and buy, as there is a lot more lowsec in Molden Heath. Instead of them having to fly to Rens, Teon would be a good stop.

Once again, I am calling upon the industrial people of EVE (particularly those in the South, the East, and everything in-between) to come and bring your business to Minmatar space. Be patient, sell basic stuff, and the collective effort with attract more content.

This could work. Say it did... you can be a part of it.

Please join the channel "Minmatar Industrialists" and/or the mailing list by the same name if you're interested.

Thanks for reading.

If you think it will work - do it! If others agreed with you, they would already have done it.

You need a critical mass to establish a viable market - people go to a market for the convenience of 1 stop shopping. As you pointed out earlier, Hek and Rens are struggling to maintain that critical mass. The last thing Minmatar space needs is to fragment the market further - it would be much better to consolidate!

Hek and Teonusude actually provide a critical function. They provide low prices for re-sellers in Rens. Rens is always 30%+ higher on just about everything compared to Hek and Teon, so I usually find myself buying in those markets to sell in Rens.

This is an interesting premise but it would require being in minmatar space and not necessarily in a FW capacity to conquer and re-enslave the minmatar and why would anyone do that if they weren't there to help conquer and re-enslave the mimatar
