Weaponized Prospect for whacking rats in gas cloud?

Finally got back to gas mining...my few attempts a year ago were good...and apparently way too easy.

Recently took out Prospect with mobile depot etc to a C70 and armed with only Dual Light Pulse Laser I with Imperial Navy Radio S (which I swore somebody credible told me to use).

My EHP is adequate for government work via relevant skills and I easily tanked them long enough to know I could not dent them.

What weapons should I be looking at to effectively clear them and get back to the task of stealing gas?

Don't bother kill them, just speed tank them. Fit an AB & MSE buffer and orbit the gas at near max-range and you should be able to negate incoming damage pretty effectively unless you run into webbers.

Using the Prospect to kill the Rats will limit the sites you can hit to only the very low end one. Things like a Vast can wreck most if not all T1 cruisers and in may cases T2 as well.

That being said, maybe something like this. If you are bulk webbed short range weapons are no good, you have to be able to hit to 7km at least. Arty, Rails or Beams then just as much tank/gank as you can fit.

Almost 10K EHP, 36EHP Regen and almost 100 DPS.

In my experience I would say, don't.

While speed tanking might be possible, depending on the gas site the sleeper will web and neut you and you go poof or in the one gas cloud there are 5 nasty sentries.. - poof.
