This might be the first, and only time I post on the EVE forums. (They terrify me.)

Can I say the event that happened was perfect? No, but of course, what IS perfect these days? Nothing, exactly. There were a few issues that occurred before some of the major events started, such as the Alpha fights, but instead of blaming the event coordinators, like several people did, they should have blamed the ISP or whatever was causing the technical issues on Santa Spirit's end. (Several of us came to the conclusion the Grinch was stealing Santa's bandwidth.)

As far as the events that were held, I personally took part in one, the shuttle race, and upon retrospect, I was helping the Grinch in complaining about the race, even though it was game mechanics, not the race itself, which created an advantage for seasoned pilots. I would like to formally apologize for the bitter comment I left in local over it. The other events seemed good fun for all involved, I do wish I had thought to brought a scanner ship to take part in the can hunt.

Another thing that seemed to be a hot ticket of comments is the prize distribution, or lack thereof. I personally came to the event with a blank slate of expectations. Sure, I wasn't one of the lucky few to get a PLEX, but I did receive a few nice ships, and I wound up giving some things I got gifted to Alpha pilots that could use them. There were many complaints about how "There were trillions of donations, where's my super expensive thing" But the thing is, at any given point there were 105+ pilots in the system. And that was after I had arrived very late to the party.

In my time in the sector, I saw many complaints about not having anything to do, or a lack of things going on, etc. At a few points I remember saying you'll have as much fun at this event as you want to have. If you expect to have no fun, you won't. I had a good time just talking with other pilots and seeing such a large group of people in local that wasn't trying to scam people or kill them. (Even with the few occasional 'kill the Golem' jokes) I had many laughs, and a few of us even made our own mini sub-events like a riddle guessing game that around 40 some pilots took part in.

In my opinion, this community, every community, should have more events like this, where a large part of the player-base can put down their weapons, drop their distrust, even for a few hours, and just have a good time and talk. I understand an event like this is extremely hard to put together, but I truly wish it could happen more than once per year.

In conclusion of this long-winded statement: I would like to extend a deep personal thanks to the coordinators of this event, Santa Spirit, his helpers, Rudolph, the owners of the fortizar we used as a hub for the festivities, and of course all the generous donators, CCP included. I hope this event continues to be an annual staple of the community, and grows more and more as time goes on. I look forward to seeing everyone again in 2017.

I would like to thank everyone who donated to, and/or attended the EvEnt, I do apologize for the disconnects from EvE and for the delay that happened during the EvEnt.

I also want to let everyone know that while this year's EvEnt didn't go as smooth as I'd have liked, I will be starting again in October 2017 preparing for next year's EvEnt.

I look forward to seeing everyone there again.

Until that time, Merry Christmas to each and every one of you and your families, and the best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year.

Had a great time. The cat herding, I mean, shuttle racing was probably the best bit. Lol

Big thanks to Santa Spirit & the Elves for putting this event on.

Hi Hi SANTA!
o/

I want to say that I loved the event. I want to thank all of the people that came and sowed their support for santa and his elves.
I really really enjoyed myself that day and had tons of fun with everyone!
Thank you so so so so sososososo much youluvly guyz for putting on a wonderful event.

Cry I am a little sad that I lost in my event... but that just means I need to work harder for it next time. Cool
it was awesome how the event was leveled for the omegas by putting us all in equal terms where exp counted more then impresive bling and such. My only suggestion on that would have been our shield res mod should have really been against our natural enemy... As an amarr pilot, I would say probably thermal, given our big fight I think is Gallente...

I did think it was a tad skewed against newer players, but thats just the way the mechanics of eve are designed... which makes sense, the lure is to stay subscribed so you can train up and get more bonuses to what you do. Its just that thing we call... marketing. XD
even still, I had ssooo much fun with every one, and that was really the whole purpose of the event. Not the games and prizes, that was just things to do and things to make ppl smile! It was all to get us together where we weren't pointing guns at eachothers faces and saying Ugh "really? cr@p" ever few min. Cry

Events are what ppl make of them and I thought this was a blast and hope to make it back next year.

On one note, santa.... something that would be so totes awesomeness extraordinaire.... if CCP could offer some truly unique offers into the pot.
Like, when I read pirate faction rookie ships... there were a few NPC ships that have no way to get a hold of them from each of the pirate groups. Like the one that looks like a cross between a daredevil and a scorpion... or the one that looks like a succubus with a long tail (its actually pictured in the page background image right now on the left Big smile ). Not sure if its possible, but thats something I would just love to have in my hanger someday.

I find that the more love you give out to ppl the more comes your way.
I was so nervous when I came to system, I had no idea what to expect, and I was so happy to have so much fun.

Wish I could have stayed in longer, but everyone has their time limits, especially when you have life to tend to.

Again, thank you so so much Santa and friends for such a wonderful event. I hope I can come next year, and maybe even help out a little in some way.

The best way that I've found to do that is to post to the thread, and receive notifications of posts to the thread, or keep a bookmark on your desktop and remember to open it every day to see if there are changes.

Hey now, the Riddle contest hosted by me, inpromptu like went off pretty well.

over the course of 2 hours i gave away about 350-400 million isk, it was impromptu, but i look forward to doing it again next year as well, albeit with a little more prepwork and actually having the riddles all created (i came up with most of them off the cuff as it were)

Woo, got my first PLEX! The event was cool as it was, but getting *more* than what was announced is really really cool.

Thanks to everyone who spent time, effort and assets for this event!
