The SSL server certificate for the URL in that error message (creatives.extccp.com) is coming back from the wrong domain, some

bos617.com

Which appears to be a domain registered within the past five days on GoDaddy by some dude in Massachusets.

On Win 10, none of the fixes have worked for me. However, I can play if I want to, the launcher works fine I just keep getting the error. I've chosen not to play though cause I dont feel safe typing in my password until I fix this, even though I feel like its only a bug with one of the images on the launcher.

This gentleman has got his poop in a group. Worked for me. (: you da man! The second run is important and only seems to work if the last fail is not interrupted. Now the question is do I close it and hope it will work twice, or just open the game and move on. (:

CCP, looks like your CDN is serving random SSL certificates instead of the one that should be served. It's coming up as *.dental-directory.co.uk. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/125163849643982849/259069399338713088/unknown.png

Can anyone at CCP tell us if it is safe to log in to the launcher in its current state?

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

Ya like I said earlier, I'm no expert but just reading the error makes me thing that its nothing to worry about, but I'd still like a second opinion.

This server could not prove that it is creatives.extccp.com; its security certificate is from *.dental-directory.co.uk.

CCP should consider getting a new CDN provider.....preferably one without security issues.

+1 Windows 10.

From what Midha La said earlier, I'm not sure I feel safe logging in at the moment.

Any word, CCP?

Gave my launcher shortcut the -d and it all worked.
-Win 10

Short and sweet version to fix.
* Right click the shortcut for eve launcher on your desktop
* Add -d to the end of the shortcut
* Run it.
* Undo the shortcut and profit.

Win7 64bit - same issue as everyone else.

Did the "add new shortcut to desktop for evelauncher.exe ->
Right click on this new shortcut and selected properties ->
In the location\Launcher\evelauncher.exe field added -d to the end ->
With the basic launcher open, I was able to open the normal eve launcher shortcut from desktop.

Closed and reopened the normal launcher several times without issue.

It's not a hosting issue, it's a local permissions issue (at least for me it was).

I chose a different install location for a recently downloaded launcher than the default C:\EVE, and got the same error message.

I wiped that folder and reinstalled the launcher to the suggested location, and it ran fine.

Windows permissions do have a tendency of causing weird issues like that... see if your problem goes away if you install the launcher in a 'free' location (not inside Program Files or Desktop or any user folders)

After trying to run the various other executables people mentioned, I just ran the launcher over and over for a bit and eventually it caught, did its update, and everything was fine.

Same problem. Just ran game repeatedly until the launcher stayed open long enough for me to hit cancel. Jeez, what a mess.

Just had this problem as well, but the loglite.exe appears to have fixed it.

Trying out all the things to do here in Eve - it's quite a checklist. So I made a blog Jakob's Eve Checklist

MacOS Sierra 10.12

When I show package contents on the launcher in the applications folder I don't see an updater anywhere. I do see the launcher under Contents->MacOS but I don't see anything else in that folder.

Anyone able to help?
