I was skimming through the first post of the Marmite thread and arrived to the conclusion that they didn't offer escort service even though I believed that they may have been offering escort services before reading it...

As for:

For one thing , I could be a Merc myself and offer escort services.
I can fleet with escorts and figure out if webbing by other parties than a corp or alliance or fleet does agro and whatever else is required to know before hand.
I don't need to practice with a Bowhead to figure this out.

The contract offer and service delivery rely in the fact that if the escort service fails, it may be because of 2 reasons.
Either they didn't do their job right, or didn't want to do their job right, as if they are being bribed by another entity to deliberately fail the contract service, so as to lose my assets involved.
The other possible reason is that I did not take into account enough of the factors involved in the deal, and the risk taking associated with it.

In either case, I do not make a point to rely on blame and other alienation to resolve the matter.
If a Merc group is not willing to serve me after accepting my money, I don't have to deal with them in the future.
The same as yes, it may very well may be more cost efficient for me to move my Bowhead myself with 3 accounts.
I'm most certainly at war against those parties who associate with this and prefer to shelter myself and those I care for against this and the secondary effects of this, even under threats of imprisonment.

It's more fun, but also more profitable, secure, cost-efficient, positive, and so on.

As for Noragen,
I don't know about what you mean, as I cannot verify most of it.
I have never flown a capital yet, except for an Orca out of the station and right back in.
Which other capital ship I would have flown beside the Orca, I don't remember.
I have never used a webber yet, however, I do have my own covert fleet, and this, for years.
In fact, I used it to mine Ice in the Outer Ring [ORE] and harvest gas before the Prospect was introduced.

As for rules, being a systems analyst by profession, I am forced to make and deal with rules all the time, otherwise, all the work that I would try to do while it is attempted to be forfeited would not be secured enough.
Everything would be wasted in the vanity that it is attempted to be coerced into, as if some sort of wrongdoing, or irrelevant endeavour , with no means for me to protect it, while it is certainly not going to be protected by my enemies, who only try to destroy it for their own good, greedily only thinking about themselves.
Those rules, are what allowed me to be able to do what I need it , and otherwise, I'd probably be dead.

I have flown with a scout before, and I managed to do it with multi-client.
However, scouts will not protect me or my ship, or my fleet against bumping, unless the fleet or people associated with me, that is, not against me, have enough humph, or whatever it is, be it strength, accuracy, or other, that is required for the Bowhead to survive.
I am ok with some of the fleet ship to die, should there be suicide gankers, to protect the Bowhead, which may very well go to over 4b worth.
Also, at that rate of value, why not insure it?
Sure the insurance is worth around 600m in cost, but it covers for 1.2b or so if the ship is destroyed.

There are intel channels and/or systems to check for gankers, and/or for where they last hit (in the past).
There are ways to avoid those pitfalls with proper information beforehand alone.

As for the Bowhead, I was going to build it for speed, since it was going to be designed to be escorted.
That would also speed up it's delivery by the related percentage of gained time.
