Hi guys,

Question - So I been hauling for friends and starting to take it seriously. I got ar ecent 'courier' contract (my first). It says volume is 92Km3 more than what my industry ships can handle. Is the volume on courier stuff a bunch of items or 1 item that is 92Km3?

Reason I ask is because I can do 3 round trips to get it done or if it's 1 item then it's not possible. Thanks in advance.

Courier contracts, as opposed to courier missions, are one package per contract. So yes, you will have a single wrapped package of x+92Km3.

1 last question. So what ship can handle that? I have T2 industrial now would there be anything between that and a freighter or is a freighter the only ship that can handle this?

Deep Space Transports typically have a fleet hangar of about 60k capacity so that would not be enough for that contract.

I don't know about the Orca myself.

Otherwise you would need a freighter.

Ask your friend to cancel the contract and break it into two or three chunks that you can fit into your industrial.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

can a DST use it's fleet hanger to use put the package in? or it has to use it's cargo? if so then I can make 2 round trips with DST. More doable that way

Make sure the contract isn't for a LS or null station, if it is, you'll need to make some other arrangements as well to safely extract the freight.

Be aware that there do exist contract scams, that deliberately draw players to unsafe locations with cargo's too large to extract with the usual "safe" methods. These are often "trap" contracts and should only be done if you have the resources to safely steal cheese from a mouse trap.

You can use the DST fleet hangar for normal cargo. Up to 62500 M3 with Transport Ships 5. I put an Orca in the fitting simulator to see what it would carry - 105K M3 in the standard hold with 3 cargohold optimization II rigs, a couple of expanded cargohold II modules and Industrial Command Ship 5. Only other option is a freighter.

pity Orca lacks the calibration required to actually fit three T2 Cargohold Optimization rigs.....
