My account will expire on October 26, one week from this posting. This will be the first time it isn't a mistake. I won't be resubbing for now.

And no, you can't have my stuff, because I will most certainly be back...some day.

You all will be in my heart until then. I love you all, I just don't have much fun playing EVE anymore. EVE is a good life, but it's not a very good game. It's a good sandbox, a good social experiment, a good social environment. But fitting ships, undocking, shooting, and getting blown up gets old. So it is with a heavy heart I say goodbye for now. I've been saying goodbye for a few years now, so I figure it's finally time to not re-sub.

I'll miss you all. Let me know what's going on in the universe, okay? I haven't been paying much attention to the going's-on of New Eden of late, so it'd be neat to have some catch-up over this final week.

Well, I must admit it makes me sad to see this.

I definitely understand and relate to what you're saying. I rarely log into the game or read Dev Blogs / Patch Notes anymore. However I still browse these forums and in fact, most of the info I get about current events is actually obtained from these forums.

Now having 118 mill skill points is a good accomplishment but I see no reason to unsub and stop training skills, even if you don't actually plan on logging in to play the game.. In my opinion it's well worth it to keep the sub going and have your character continue training skills. Then in the future when you feel like logging in to actually play the game, you'll have that option available.

Anyway, have a good rest break and hope to see you back again very soon.

Yeah, well, in my opinion it's a good idea to pay rent. :P

I've got more skillpoints than I need. I can fly capital ships I have never owned. But I don't have the RL income I need for just RL stuff.

edit: dat timestamp

Yo, you can post for free come 8 November. And you can play for free come 8 November. Don't stay away just for the sake of staying away, that doesn't make sense. If there's nothing keeping you away don't stay away

Seriously Reaver the "goodbye EVE for a really long time" is a paradigm that's about to go away two weeks after your sub lapses. So hopefully it's goodbye til November 8th

right?

Nah. I have been going away for long times for years now. When's the last time we talked? That was the last time I was even on the forums, and me being in-game was even further back.

o7 Reaver G! Old timer days in OOPE were great, always good hanging with you, Rains, other regular b.s. artists. I'm kind of intermittent about thinking about logging in and undocking too. I let my sub lapse once, but resubbed just to see what was going on in forums. Sounds kind of pathetic, I know, but... OK, pathetic, but much fun.
In your honor I have fit my "stars on thars" T-shirt. (Char portrait updates-- slow to display). Fly safe bro! see you if/when you decide to check it out again.

It's not pathetic. The forums are a community, nay, a world, unto themselves. I also look fondly on our past days here. But I guess we'll see each other from time to time, just lurking around.

Can confirm, I am in fact an artist of battleships. I enjoy many a toast of said battleships.

yeah I know, it's been a long time. But that's okay when it comes to EVE (and other things irl). Just because it doesn't fill your life with excitement doesn't mean you have to abandon it completely. At least come back to post.

Between old friends, long periods of time are not a big deal. And relatively speaking, in EVE player terms, we're old friends I think.

Just at least come back to post every once in a while.

Gah! I sub back up after almost 3 years out of game and I see Reaver is gone. Well Here is the daily EvE Update: The toaly non inspiring capsuleer Slade Trillgon has renewed his pilots liscence and is gearing his ships back up for a bit of isk generation and 'content creation' (read as me getting blown up).

Well, if you actually read this, good luck in your real life endeavors and good luck making that RL isk.

Bills are a ***** for sure.

Hey look, I can post on the forums! I guess I'll be back to lurking then. :D

I can't train anything on Alpha status because I have trained all of it already. But maybe some time I'll make an alpha alt just to play true alpha. FTP EVE is the EVE I need at this point.

I can finally fly a Widow, but I have to resubscribe to be able to access the skills, and I'd need a few plex to buy one of those. It's been my dream ship since I started playing.

Also I was actually just playing Skyrim today.

Welcome to the Alpha Club!:

Roses are red / Violets are blue / I am an alpha / And so it's you.

I've been playing Elite: Dangerous for 7 months before taking a break, now I've started Civlization IV: Beyond the sword. Free access to the forums it's a godsend, it's all the fun for no sum! No need to play, no need to worry about whatever CCP does or doesn't, just win EVE and keep in touch with your lovelies. Godsend! Bear

I logged in the fleet yesterday and found 3 of me unsubbed. There's a 90 day deal right now: 3 months for $30. When you go to account management, use the "offers" link at the top of the page (or was it "specials").

Widows are kind of a thing where you need a reason to fly one. I was in four Panthers and cloaky cyno tengus with Goonwaffe for a bit, and that was all I wanted to do.

I'm resting now, chilling in highsec, and the other part of Black ops is spending time in a group long enough to be trusted as the bridge lol.

Maybe over the summer when you know you'll have time to set aside you can go out with whoever and bridge for them. You were TEST, right?
