Ratting and/or Level 4 Hyperion Fit

I am looking for a decent fit to run null-sec anoms and/or highsec level 4 missions on a Hyperion.

I am not looking for ish/hour efficiency, in which case the Domi would be a better option. I just really like the look of the hull and would like to fly one from time to time.

Any suggestions?

Hardeners specific to enemy and pimp out to taste.

Can also use Railguns with sentries to not stress the tank

I know this thread is a couple weeks old but i wanted to share this with you because it wasn't that long ago that i were trying to find out simiar information myself.

For what i had read, people suggested to aim for 600+ dps to solo lvl4 missions but i couldnt find much about ehp.

I managed to put this fit together giving me 705 dps and 76184 ehp, even though it requires a few skills. i found it works great for me doing level 4 missions. i can't compare it to anything else because it is the only fit that i have used.

the neutron blasters may work really well but because i dont have the skills to use them efficiently i stuck with rails and try to warp in at 30-50k to give me the range and i could potentially sacrifice some ehp for more dps modules if i wanted to aim for speed.

[Hyperion, ****Rendiir's Hyperion]

1600mm Steel Plates II

Drone Damage Amplifier II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Armor Thermal Hardener II

Appreciate the reply.

I'll check this fit out. I have pretty decent skills, so I'll see what kind of numbers I can come up with.

Thank you!

Not necessarily what you asked for, but this fit can run besieged covert sites for cheap. Might be adaptable to other anoms...

In both fit you lack propulsion. Blasters need to fast close range and rails need to get distance. I dont think an AB will do but MWD for blasters and MWD or LMJD for rails will do.

Propulsion mods have no benefit in besieged sites :)

Couple of tips to keep in mind

- Cap charges are cheap. They're cheap to make yourself even from mission loot if there isn't any on market
- BBs have plenty of space so you can carry plenty of cap charges
- A single XL cap booster is enough to cover just about all your cap needs even with a MWD
- The Hyp can carry a full load of heavy or sentry drones, make the most of this
- Using the correct specific hardeners has a huge impact on your tank
- Use faction ammo if possible
- Large micro jump drives are your friend, learn to triangulate (really easy)
- Hybrid ammo reload is quick (5sec) so you can make the most of swapping for range
- Script swapping is instant so use that for adjusting weapon and drone range profiles in pocket

Something like this should be a good all round mission runner (though it's been a while since I put something like this together). Bling to taste.

Not into the beseiged sites, but definitely something to look into.

Also, thanks for the summary as well Anize. I usually run a Raven, Mach, Tengu, so the Hyperion is kinda new to me. Your info was very helpful.

Just one thing with this fit, you might need to swap the omni out for a sebo, as the hyp has terrible lock range, unless I've missed a patch where it's been buffed.

Sir, do not listen to these heretics. Everyone knows that the only reason you would ever fly a Hyperion is so you can TRI-REP it. Here is the best cheapfit Hyperion you can buy, and yeah, Believe the Hype!

[Hyperion, Believe the Hype]

Imperial Navy Large Armor Repairer
Imperial Navy Large Armor Repairer
Imperial Navy Large Armor Repairer
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Imperial Navy Capacitor Power Relay

Imperial Navy Cap Recharger
Imperial Navy Cap Recharger
Imperial Navy Cap Recharger
100MN Afterburner II
Heavy Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 800

Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge L
Improved Cloaking Device II

Large Auxiliary Nano Pump II
Large Capacitor Control Circuit II
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I

'Integrated' Ogre x5

1.) Obviously it is tri-repped. Duh, it is a Hype.
2.) Get cap, son. Lots of cap. For reals, if you don't your INLARs will starve.
3.) You say null-sec, I say CLOAKING DEVICE. Because? Have you never dreamed of having a cloaking device?!?
4.) You can fit specific hardeners for MOAR TONK! (Replace the ANP and the INCPR with a thermal and kinetic and you can tonk 2340dps from Serps! HEYLLLLLLLOOOOOOO GEMINATE!!!!!!)
5.) You can pimp your Hype out with some Deadspace and/or Officer lewts and implants to achieve a cap-stable 10.5khp/s specific or 7.5khp/s uniform tonk! The only thing you'll do better on other than a capital ship is a tri-rep Marauder with a Bastion Module!

Sniper fit with 60 km drone control range and 75 km trageting range? LMJD will jump you 100 km, if you do not jump TOWARDS npc you wait forever (no regular prop mode) till you can start shooting. 144 m/s base speed.
I suggest something like that:
[Hyperion, Sniper MJD fit]
Shadow Serpentis Large Armor Repairer
Shadow Serpentis Armor Kinetic Hardener
Shadow Serpentis Armor Thermal Hardener
Federation Navy Magnetic Field Stabilizer
Federation Navy Magnetic Field Stabilizer
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Federation Navy Drone Damage Amplifier

Heavy Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 800

425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L
425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L
425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L
Drone Link Augmentor II

Large Auxiliary Nano Pump II

Large Ionic Field Projector II

Hobgoblin II x5
Hobgoblin II x5
Warden II x5
Cap Booster 800 x15
Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L x1500
Caldari Navy Uranium Charge L x1000
Tracking Speed Script x2

Federation navy modules are not cheap, but I would seriosly use them so I can use entire 84 km range of my drones. Or you can use EE-603 implant to get the missing CPU and use T2 damage modifier - much much cheapier :)

Not much of a fan of the Shadow Serp LAR, it is much worse than the INLAR/DBLAR/TSLAR/ANLAR, and I think they are not much more expensive (I haven't checked in a while). Using an INLAR would give almost 60dps tank bonus over the SSLAR.

Also, not sure on the need for dual-prop, but I guess there is no harm in it.

To the OP, have you settled on a fit that is working for you? What is your final fit? I also can fly most non cap ships and am looking at trying a Hyperion for L4 missions just because I like the hull and its nice to change it up.
