In some ways, you want to fit an EC for very, very specific purposes. Do you want to invent? Build interceptors? Do ME research? That will basically determine what you do with rigs and service modules.

On the other hand, 3H, 2M, 1L with only a single launcher slot gives you *barely* any options. So... just whatever? Or nothing and keep it as expendable as possible?
