Remote Re-issue of contracts

I am 22 jumps away from Jita where I issued a contract that expired. For a fee, based on the number of jumps as well as contract value I would be able to re-issue the contract remotely once the fee had been paid.

...What, exactly, is stopping you from just deleting the expired contract and putting it back up?
