Radial menu becomes REALLY laggy whenever there are a large number of rats on screen (20-30), but lag is not apparent when there are few.

This menu is also far too touchy in registering mouse movement.

Example: Using it for drone commands, the radial menu does not flyout with any minuscule (accidental) movement of the mouse, rendering it pretty useless a fair percentage of the time. (This latter issue is not a new thing though) pretty sure its just that the movement threshold needs some adjustment.

Please consider getting feedback for those kind of changes next time. I am baffled how this could make it into the game.

A controversial issue like many of my list. Golden border and Ω does not bother me but this is why i always ask CCP make an switch option for such things. Not all people like me.
CCP please make

  • a switch for flash kill confirmation
  • a switch for undocking animation
  • a switch for omega state icons
  • a switch for annoying aura voices
  • a switch for mouseover sound
  • a switch for all annoying things

But we all know that CCP are afraid to add more options in settings tabs.

Aura: "You need to be within range to execute this function."

Also

  • keybind for silently removed tab window minimizing (to title bars)
  • a slider for removed window snapping distance (including permanent off setting)
  • a switch or a keybind for normal vertical projections and spheres on tactical overlay
  • a slider for mouse sensitivity (separate X and Y)
  • a slider for mouse inertia (and only inertia, not this weird thing we have)
  • a slider for FoV (and switch to disable damn alt+mouse)
  • sliders for removed RGB sliders
  • a switch to disable ******* bubble grabbing
  • a switch to disable ******* nonsensical forced merge of solar and galaxy map on new map
  • a switch to disable ******* dimming on new map
  • a combo box to select different color for dscan cone/sphere

And many more, just a few from top of my head in context of obviously missing or removed switches.

It's really this one element that's the issue. It feels as though we're being chided for using functionality that was introduced to make our lives easier.

And turning Aura off isn't a solution. It's severely disconcerting not hearing the various Aura messages that have been in game for ever (such as Warp Drive Active) when you expect to, even if the new voice isn't as good as the old one.

༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give back Custom tracking camera position ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

UI click sounds immediately went to 0. Sorry the clicking on every interaction including mouse over on ships, dscan and overview was too much

Please consider putting in a docking camera toggle but allowing us to keep the dynamic camera movement or changing the position of the ship center.

Also please restore the advanced camera functions. They are actually used by alot of content creators and they need to make a return.

I would like a little more reasoning behind the 32% mining drone "balancing" directed at the Rorqual. As it stands now using three T1 capital mining drone rigs on your Rorqual you can get the mining drones to 774 m3 every 90 seconds. A mining barge (singular) with boosts reaches a 74 (ish) second cycle time on the strip miners pulling in 1500m3 each. Was the intention to make the Rorqual just as valuable then two pilots one boosting and one mining? Or were you trying to as you said at Fan Fest, make it worth having in the belts for the reward it brings.

Loss of defender missiles.
I have just run pve missions , mission of mercy and mordus headhunters, both these have missile npc's and being dropped into the middle of a few of them made it difficult without defenders, how this would be for new players running these mission I would hate to think. Could you perhaps have a defender rocket, just a thought.

How bout you guys stop trying to annoy the **** out of everyone lately. They way you guys keep on forcing more crap thinking it is better when it is not and then when we say we don't like it all we get is the "nope not gonna change it back" crap. Its sad we have to toggle off so much of the sounds lately cause your sound person has never played EVE.

All i'm saying is its getting really old.

Ok few questions:

  • What exactly are the CSM doing? Are they not here to stop these sort of annoying things like UI/menu chirping and Aura statements " that item is not in range" from making it to patch day? If no then what is the csm function other than using the position to benefit themselves from the knowledge obtained via the dev's? Have yet to meet a broke CSM member.

  • Do we not have a test server where these things can be tested before dropping them in game? If so did I just miss it? or is it not being used?

  • Where is the transparency? Why weren't these changes not being discussed prior to being implemented? We should not be the frigging test server.

  • Where is the value in some of these changes? I understand visual changes fixes and changes that add value to the game, but just because something can be changed doesn't mean it should be nor does it mean a change for the better. A change needs to add value to game play.

  • Whats next walking in station (WIS) Shocked ohhh wait NVM.

One thing regarding Citadel in-space sensor brackets: Inaccessible citadels should not lose their blue sensor overlay brackets. Scanned signatures and anomalies or landmarks do not either, therefore Citadels should also keep their blue bracket if they are not accessible. It is utterly annoying having to open the info window on every single citadel in Perimeter on the Jita gate or planet V, for instance, to see whether they are accessible or not. It is also completely illogical why you should have more information for a Citadel from several AU away than when you are directly on grid.

And another thing with inaccessible citadels (I count every new structure under this category): The radial menu does not allow to click on the Open Info window button when they are inaccessible and you are off grid (ie. see the blue overlay bracket). However, if you are on-grid with them, the radial menu does allow to click on the Open Info Window button.

These are 2 very irritating, unnecessary inconsistencies.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Thanks as always for the feedback everyone, just going to reply to a couple of things that I can comment on.

Third, using the notification system for advertising Cash Shop related informations is highly annoying and a very bad signal to send to the community. Not only does it represent pure and simple advertisement -which nobody wants-, but it will diminish the impact and usefulness of the notification system as a whole, as more and more people will simply turn it off.
This isn't a feature that Five 0 is working on so I don't want to comment on intention, but just for in case you didn't know you can customise which notifications you'd like to see. Useful if you don't care about Sovereignty notifications or what not Smile

I would love to know, what exactly CCP changed.
I´ve looted several Sentient as well as Elite Drones. Still quiet the same amount of drone parts and, most importantly, just one single Elite Drone AI.

How are the odds off getting more than one Elite Drone AI? How excactly where the drop rates changed?
As a rule we don't discuss the exact percentages of loot drops. Rest assured, they have increased and we'll be reviewing the supply of these items and adjusting as necessary.

I agree that some of this isn't very consistent, I'll run it past the team and see if there's space for improvement.

Thanks again all!

i want my mining skills back. these new skills for "bursts" is a joke... at 1366 m3 per 146 without boosts.. and now even fully boosted it's still 1366/96 seconds! this was to help what..? nothing. and now if you want to boost a big fleet you have to have a command ship in each belt! what a waste.. before this horrible "expansion" my yield was just shy of 5,000 m3/60 seconds..

than later followed by excavator drones -32% yield.. all of the mining skills and leaderships we industrialists have trained for.. are now a waste of points, and not even i bother to use my command ships any more.. the only benefit is a LITTLE less cycle time? super lame.

also.. the new eve voice.. blows.. bring back the original voice.. use your new voice for tutorials.

This is actually intentional for all modules that have gone through the tiericide process. This is because named modules (Those between Tech I & II, not faction or storyline modules) no longer have a progression from worst to best, but instead all provide their own unique benefits. Some examples to explain what I mean by this:

  • Compact - Used for named modules that specialize in reduced fitting cost
  • Scoped - Used for named modules that specialize in longer range
  • Ample - Used for named modules that specialize in extra capacity

Once this process is finally completed, we hope to be able to adjust the meta conventions to make this clearer (Tech II modules could be meta 2 for example)

I hope that clears up your concerns!
