It seems like every 3 or 4 weeks CCP glitches the launcher for me and I spend a week unable to log in. I put in tickets every time, with almost no response, and I end up with a week of paid play time down the drain.

You guys seriously need to get your sh*t together, and start providing support for your paying customers.

If you give me more details on your glitch I might be able to figure out what is going on and fix it. This does not provide any useful information, I'm afraid.

No, it's a rant.

The details are in my ticket ( which hasn't been answered yet btw)

Anyway, the launcher opens, the window is white and then the "stopped working" box comes up citing qt5webenginecore.dll as the fault module.

We're looking into issues with some virus protections flagging this dll as a virus and interfering with the installation and/or updating. You may need to reinstall the launcher with the virus protection disabled.

If you send me your ticket number I'll follow up on it tomorrow when I'm in the office.

My apologies for the inconvenience, hopefully we can resolve this soon.

So other than Uninstall, turn off anti virus and reinstall, what else can I do?

Tried all that, and haven't heard back from support since yesterday morning.

I noticed in your logs that you have the QT_OPENGL environment variable set to 'desktop'. Try removing that variable - this will force the launcher to use a software OpenGL implementation.

The last update to the launcher had an update to the Qt version, including an updated version of the web engine.

If that doesn't help, please ensure that your video card drivers are up to date.

Props man, that was really cool of you to look into that issue directly :P
