Does CCP is planning / willing to try to get some inspiration from some real life designer, or even better making deal with some to integrate some of theyre creation in the nex store ?

Many creator come to mind
to name one Gareth Pugh some of his stuff would be awesome in incarna

One of the things to bear in mind is that the clothing within EVE is set far in the future and should not be directly related to fashion of today, although your idea is interesting for sure.

It is also worth nothing that the designs of a particular designer belong to them and it would be highly inappropriate for us to just copy them.

Finally, you may be interested in seeing a collaboration we recently had with the designer, Nicola Formichetti, at this link.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

I don't know... some of those designs look as though they'd fit right in. Maybe a collaboration with Gareth Pugh is in order? Bear

yes saw the video which is very cool

but as you have done some collaboration with real model the next step would be making collaboration with real designer :)

and far in the future we still have 2 arms 2 legs seems then fashion will not change much, rather materials perhaps :)

but fashion is cyclic then a Claude Montana Collection of 1995 could become the must suddenly in 2547 (or something)

What i would be maybe ready to pay money for would be cloths that look like you slavaged then from a corpse you just blew up.

so realy messed up clothes, so you look how you live in eve. For example dirty shirts for hard working miners and stuff....

this freaking perfect world stuff is just stupid.

Why no write up by CCP on this? This is exactly the sort of thing I'd be tooting my own horn about if I were you guys; it shows the power of your new engine and the possibilities for the future of Incarna...

Edit: I lol'd at the fact that Rick couldn't get out of the door either... ;)

How about the reverse? CCP puts out from the EVE store Quafe Shirts and Monocle Sunglasses that only have 1 lense so you look like a dork, maybe more different NPC corporation T-shirts as everything is just outdated empire emblems, gurista skulls, and loads of stuff that just says EVE. How about shirts with more then just "I can have your stuff?" ....like "Jita....I was there!" or "Honk if you love Veldspar" or "My other clone is wearing my favorite shirt!"

I cannot believe I am the first person to post that I hate this thread

EVE IS dying

All that is left are people who want to dress up in designer clothes.

I have never played WoW but there is no way its as bad as this.

once you've flown all the ships that were released 9 years ago all you have is a bunch of t-shirt to try on.

EVE is changing. It is expanding the sandbox. EVE is more than my fleet destroyed your fleet and took your expensive moon. For some EVE is just a video game with nice explosions, for others it's about role playing and immersion or crunching numbers and working the market. Incarna is about allowing a person to show their personality with more than their choice of ship and hopefully it will allow more opportunities for styles of play. There may even become new professions where people never undock, and that's not a bad thing, it's just different.

The more opportunities for more styles of play then the healthier your EVE universe will be and the longer you will get to enjoy exploding spaceships.

...... And, I, my friend, can't believe im the second to hate this thread. This is absolutely ******* ridiculous. I understand that with any game that usually there is a very wide variety in your player base. However, I think that a companies marketing department would be educated enough to realize that there are differences in percentages of their player base.

Example: eve.

to be fair i can't prove these numbers but im sure they're not far off.

Eve.

75% - Men ages 25-45
15% - Men ages 16-25
8% - Women ages 16-45
2%- little school girls that like playing house in the Sims.

This is ridiculous. I don't want to play dress up. I want to play a space game with wars and empire building and crushing. etc.

I'm afraid however that CCP's pride extends past their conscience as they invested so much money in the development of CQ that they don't want to admit that is was a wrong dirrection to take the game. A.K.A. , enough money means its right, which goes right along with their "greed is good." policy, which is no surprise.

Eve is dying. slowly. but it's dying. In a year or two it will be just like any other stupid MMO that cares more about money and looks than the quality of the game.

So what you're saying is, in the future the only clothing designer is Walmart? And apparently, they have a monopoly controlling the market so much that a full wardrobe cost more than a supercap?

......... Wait your saying that it is a good thing that in a "spaceship" game where people fly in "space" and build many things in "space" stations., that it is good that they will "never" undock? ..........

Please note here people that he said "never" and not "rarely" which i can understand as to inventors/ researchers and manufacturing but even they need to undock on occasion to refuel a pos / transport materials etc.

What your suggesting trainwreck would create more stagnation and subversion. We want players interacting with players in an enviroment, not players interacting with a computer. You can do that with any game.

What makes eve special is that for the most part, it is entirely player-based.

This phylosophy will kill eve.

If nex designs are supposedly future looking... why the **** they look like world war 2 stuff? hell even the monocle looks like it comes from the year 1800 or something like that... skirts? formal pants? and camo army pants? i fail at seeing where is the futuristic sense... where are my dune 2 suits, my trooper armors, my clothes full of chips and sensors? seriously...

futuristic clothes? i want stuff that looks like unitards, shiny stuff.. i want magnetic sealing on my "shirt" not buttons or zippers.... tubes that come out from one part to another on my suit that move some weird green goo to keep the body perfectly healthy and mask filters to purify any gas from weirrd places i might get into.
