If my corp offers to assist in a war, and the offer for assistance is accepted, can my corp later withdraw its assistance? If so, how would I go about doing that.

Unfortunately you won't be able to assist in a war as you are in an NPC corp.

Mortlake's statement of the obvious aside, there was no way to back out of a war assist the last time I checked. Once you commit, you're in it for the long haul, so choose your fights wisely.

You're in for the duration of the war or 14 days, whichever is shorter.

Nobody has the ability to willfully withdraw from a war anymore. Apparently CCP thought it would somehow be beneficial to somebody for everyone involved in a war to be as committed as possible.

Ted is that somebody; though he left EvE after finding out that people would just log or afk in a station for the duration.

But yes OP, if you offer assistance the only way out other than waiting for a while is if the corp/alliance you are assisting surrenders.

Vimsy beat me to it. That is 100% accurate. You are also unable to join an alliance with an assist running last time i checked as it's considered an offensive not defensive war for that system. One other way out is if the defensive corp makes it mutual you will be removed from the war I believe instantly
