Fleet Invite to have an Always on Top function.

Subject:
Fleet Invite to have an Always on Top function.

That option is to be set in the Pop-up, so that it can remain on top of other windows...

Note that it can also be set to be off, so that it does not stay on top of other windows, should other activities require that.

There should also be another similar control option in the Settings system , to prevent further abuse.

It would not be nice to get spammed with fleet invites and not be able to control it from blocking the view of other more important data to save your ship or pod life, or other.

I also have another 2. suggestion related to another subject but I forgot.

I am all out of time and on my way to work and almost late.

I devised this suggestion over 2 weeks ago and have links that go with it.
I didn't have the time to post it on the forums or hire someone to post it for me (covertly so , to avoid forum PvP trolling, or not ).

Don't rush me.

Why can you not simply use ctrl-tab to essentially alt-tab your EvE windows?

#1. The EvE windows are coming on top except for the Fleet Invite, or, if another EVE Window , like the fitting screen window, is opened at the same time as the Fleet invite occurs.

#2. When the above in #1. above occurs, the Fleet Window goes under the other EVE Window(s) and is hidden there.
I have never used ctrl-tab to switch EVE Windows before.
I never knew it existed.

#3. How can I find this simple when I miss a fleet invite which is valid for all but 10 to 20 seconds or so...
The other windows which do not even offer interaction simply stay on top while the one that does offer interaction is hidden under.

#4. I don't know if Ctrl-tab is the default command to switch EVE Window(s)...

#5. Maybe there are other reasons why I cannot simply use ctrl-tab to essentially or not essentially alt-tab my EvE windows.!
Nevertheless, My Idea Discussion in this forum thread is to offer a new inventive way to reduce players (and new players, who may not be familiar with the EVE Processes and commands) Fleet Invite Misses.

#6. I don't know why I can not simply use Ctrl-tab to switch EVE Windows, but I didn't know that this command existed, and I would find it complicated to Ctrl-tab when I use my fitting screen, or Ingame EVE-Market Interface, or the Cargo hold of my ship, or the Asset window, or the Wallet data, or perhaps, even the Journal data for the LPs.

#7. If it is not more simple and if it more complicated to Ctrl-Tab because of Memory requirements, Internet bandwidth or maybe even PvP load (not to say TiDi)
than it is simple to have the Fleet Invite on top, as an option that can be set from the Fleet Invite pop-up and/or the Settings command Window (Esc), then
it would be more simple to have the Fleet Invite always on top function to be functional and able to be functioning.

considering if you are being invited to the fleet there should probably have been some sort of communication beforehand from the person inviting you i don't see the need for this

Some sort of communication beforehand you say?
If you don't see the need for this, you keep the Always On Top option that comes in the Fleet Invite Pop-up and/or from the System Settings commands functions to : "Off", meaning that the Always On Top option is not checked to process the Fleet Invite always on top.
Any other process will normally hide the Fleet Invite and there will be no need to keep it on top to prevent missing fleet invites.

Some instance when Missing Fleet Invites may occur are:
1.- when you get invited to a fleet which, despite some sort of communication beforehand from the person inviting you , they didn't clearly specify that they would indeed invite you.

If you are then doing something else like running other processes, you may very well find the fleet invite still hanging under the other process while clicking [OK] to accept the invite will invariably result in the message that the fleet invite was too long ago, as it is designed to do.

2.- when you ask for an invite by clicking a 3rd party join fleet app from a web browser.
Usually the party that is inviting you runs a poke on TS which warns you that you are being invited, or even a sound from the 3rd party app warning you that you are being invited, but this time, those options are not there, and quite frankly, if it wasn't the party from option 1.- above that invited you, which can also be hard to verify as to who did invite you, you can also miss the invitation while doing other tasks like checking for fitting or market or other.

3.- There are obviously other options and cases where this will occur and that you may have needed the fleet invite to be always on top so to avoid missing a fleet invite which is hidden under other tasks, and expires in 20 seconds or so...

+ You can even let them be always not on top and always under from other process that are always on top if you don't see any needs for this.

I also forgot to mention that I saved some screenshot of how the Ctrl-Tab command functions as Iain Cariaba referred to and will be adding them later on.

I have more to write, screenshots and videos to publish, but I am exhausted now , am just coming back from work and will finish my week tomorrow.

Other instance for fleet invites related to this would be :
- Do fleet sometimes on weekends.

+ Another function to add with this would be an additional option related to this to :
"Never have the option to put it 'Always on Top'.
That way, it's not possible to fill up the empty checkbox due to control error or what have you.

(You can't post in the next 8 seconds.)
Ah yes, flowcharts would be nice and system design (DFDs).
