Neutral Alphas in Faction Warfare

Anyone tried using neutral alphas to just repeatedly die in starter ships to FW players to just screw over their security status?

Feel like this could be a good method of making an enemy faction afraid of shooting first. So then you start using the alphas as tackle ships to hold them when they don't shoot first while buddies pop in.

Thoughts?

We'll shoot first.

Generally I expect that will be the case. But how many times are you willing to shoot the same person over and over again and keep losing security status?

Lots of people use hauling alts/have supporting corps so probably not a big deal for them.

Solo militia types though will have a harder time moving their goods and would probably have to take breaks to mission/rat and regain security

Nobody will care. You can just buy tags if you really, really want to regain your security status but most people in low and null sec are happy to remain -10.

Have things changed that much in 4 months? A newb ship tackler sounds very unthreatening.

Until they stop feeding me kills, or bring something I don't want to fight. My security status never enters that equation. There is no neutral inside a plex, you're either friendly or you're a target.

The majority of FW pilots actually interested in PVP rather than farming LP live in low-sec and don't particularly care about their security status. Those that do will still engage you if you enter their plex because the choice is losing your ship, or losing a bit of sec status. Low-sec is divided between people who are aiming for -10, and people who don't care providing they stay above -5.0 so they can't get shot at freely on gates. Dipping a few points below this threshold is easily remedied via clone soldier transporters and their tags. It's a minor annoyance at best.

High-Sec in general is a bad idea for anyone in a militia. Trade hubs and pipes are frequently camped by the opposing militia and there are local trade hubs for each faction bordering the war zone, all but negating the need to go more than one or two jumps into HS on your FW character. Newer players will fall foul of war targets in HS long before their security status becomes an issue, at which point they'll be deafened by people telling them to use an alt.

This is not a real concern for most pilots in FW.
