I finally made the plunge to Omega status and will enter as an explorer. I was wondering what are the top exploration Corps/Alliances or how can I search and or find them?

Signal Cartel is the main one that springs to mind; I believe they're largely wormhole-based. You could always browse through the Alliance & Corporation Recruitment Center forums to look for more.

Or in-game open the Corps app and restrict the search parameters to exploration / wormhole corps.

To be more specific about what Memphis said, wormhole corps are essentially exploration corps. Wormhole corps will do a fair amount of combat also both PvE and PvP but if you live in a wormhole you need to scan down your wormhole every day and follow the connecting holes and check out those as well.

So as an explorer only you could scan and bookmark your home wormhole and run the hacking sites and bookmark everything else as well as a full recon of the connecting holes complete with corp bookmarks and information about it's inhabitants or lack there of.

If you find any targets you can provide cloaky warp in points for the cavalry.

There are profitable opportunities for explorers with most nullsec corporations. You have the advantage of alliance/coalition intelligence channels so you know who and where your enemies are. This probably shouldn't be your starting point. I also recommend Signal Cartel https://www.eve-scout.com/signal-cartel/

Edit: You also have alliance jump freighter service to get your goods to market - which makes life a lot easier!

Generally, and WH corp will want you to already be self-sufficient before joining.

Signal Cartel are the only ones I see out and about much, they have a good reputation as far as I know.
