Does such a version of the client exist? I truly miss EVE, but getting a PC isn't an option for me. I do have an iPad tho. If this is a repetitive thread I do apologize. Looking for seriously responses please, not trash talking.

No, EvE doesn't run on any mobile operating system.

Windows, OSX and Linux only (although the OSX and Linux clients seem to have problems for some people).

Some people have reported running it ok on Windows based mobile devices (eg. Surface Pro), but that is still with a full version of Windows running.

No option for an iPad.

The interface doesn't play well with touch or small screens either; I've had it running on a windows tablet, it sucks.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

You could set up a windows instance on a cheap shared hosting plan for a few dollars a month, install EvE on that, and remote desktop into it from your iPad.

Why getting a PC is not an option for you? Why would someone prefer to have an ipad instead of a PC? Ipads simply can not replace PCs. Ipads are more expensive and less powerful than a PC.

Please excuse any grammatical errors and sorry for any misspellings. English is not my native language. I'm from brazil.

I know it is called Spreadsheets Online, but running EVE on an iPad is just crazy.

Sell Ipad

Buy a laptop and use low settings unless you get a decent second hand one.

It clearly supports forum PvP which is the most important part of EVE anyway

You can get a new notebook with a Celeron N3XXX or an AMD A8 for 200€-250€. They are not great, but good enough to play EVE. Do some research, and you could probably get a really nice used notebook for the same price.

search for eve online ipad on youtube and you will see some people doing remote desktop/streaming kinda stuff to control the client from an ipad, but they are still running EVE on a PC (or mac or whatever). There's also windows instance thing I have tried, and although it was a bit laggy (but that's probably to do with connection rather than the platform itself) I could access eve client using my iPhone for (very) simple things.

EVE does play decently on very modest hardware, probably on PCs that are cheaper than some of the latest iPad or Surface Pro models. If it's not the money issue but having a PC in the house kinda issue, there are other options such as Mac Mini, on which I've played multiple EVE clients before without much hassle although it was a few years old used Mac Mini. They are very discreet/quiet and you can have them set up & run with minimal interference to other stuff you have in the house. I mean when I keep my main home PC on to use as a media server or for me to access remotely and such, my wife would definitely know that it's on and chugging along. With Mac Mini, they are so tiny and quiet that you can often forget that you have it on & running.

There are also many other mini-form PCs available these days (like the ones that can be mounted behind a flat screen TV and act as media server) and a lot of different possibilities. My RL friend for example runs all his PC games on a pretty beefy PC, put it away where it won't be so intrusive to home surroundings, and play PC games on his neat iMac using Steam streaming. It works good enough to play FPS games from what I've seen.

I can totally understand why having a big bulky PC around may not be an option, especially if you are living with family & kids and wife dictates your PC's too ugly for the house and such (lol yes), but there are also ways around it.

Cheers Love! The cavalry's here!

Buy a cheap laptop, leave it on and connected, and you can play EVE off it with remote desktop services wherever you go with your iPad (provided you have wifi/phone hotspot)

Touchscreen play is fiddly but you can get a bluetooth mouse and keyboard dock for your tablet.

I spend about 20% of my EVE playtime sitting outside here in the dark frozen northern wastes, on my remote desktop samsung tablet, buried deep in a fur coat and finger-less hobo gloves, smoking cigs, knocking back icy beers whilst occasionally looking up at the stars, wistfully.

It's not the performance that is a problem - on low settings and outside of blob fights Eve can be played reasonably well on a potato, provided this potato has an x86 processor. Windows would also be a plus, because on OSX and Linux Eve only runs through an additional layer of emulation, which impacts performance.

So, it needs to have an x86 processor, and run Windows (preferrably), Linux or OSX (maybe other BSD derivates as well?). Anything that doesn't fullfill those requirements will not run Eve.

Since op asked about an Ipad and said he couldn't get a PC, I assumed he wanted to stick with tablets, and the only x86 tablets that run Windows (aside from Wacom graphics tablets, which although perfectly capable would probably be a bit more expensive than necessary) that I am aware of are the Microsoft Surface devices.

Personally, I'd also just consider getting a little notebook or even just a netbook over a tablet, but that's personal preference.
