Caldari and Minmatar ship skins...

Think we could get some decent skins for these ships?

It looks like CCP got to the Minmatar and lost interest, "Meh...blue and gold...and silver and blue...and silver and yellow...that's easy...done."

Then they got to the Caldari and were clearly sick to death of the whole ship skin thing, "Pff...**** it. RED, BLUE, GREEN...done."

Really?

If you don't like what's on offer for Minmatar (I like the Tronhadar Ink personally), then which other factions skins do you like?

Its payback for having the SvipulBlink

I think the Krusual is simply demonic. Very dark and dangerous looking.

Amarr seems to have gotten the sweet end of the deal. Amarr ship skins are simply gorgeous.

Caldari ships on the other hand, look like they were splashed with buckets of either bright red or bright blue paint. The original skins are usually better off.

Amarr has a lot of good ones, Sarum, Tash Murkon, EOM, Kador, Khanid

Gallente has at least a few decent ones, Intaki, Roden, Aliastra (interbus if you like that sort of thing)

And yeah the Krusual skin is nice and the Thukker but it isn't available for many ships.

But Caldari? Uh...Kaalakiota is the only decent one. (and even that one could stand to look a little nicer)

Yeah, the Tronhadar Ink is good but I personally like the Krusual Skin. It definitely looks Minmatar.

Amarr ships were always prettier though.
You are complaining that blingy ships look better in a colour scheme than rust monsters and utilitarian vessels do.
You could have the same colour schemes for Minmatar & Caldari as for Amarr and they wouldn't look so good.

There are certainly some nice combo's on Mini/Caldari of ship/colours though.

The "Valkyria Glory" or whatever it was called (silver/yellow) looks absolutely amazing on a Jaguar.
If only the Jaguar was as awesome as the paintjob.....Cry

A few years ago there was a merchandising campaign by CCP that led to everyone subscribed getting about 6000 (?) Aurum per account.
Some spent it on space barbie clothes.
Some spent it on SKINS.

Sure, why not? I know a lot of people think it's either fun or makes them look superior to guilt or mock other players for buying vanity items but I spend a lot of time looking at my ships, I have the disposable income to spend on my hobby and it supports the game we play so why not?

Well what's the point of skins? To make your ship look nicer. Grabbing a can of red or blue spray paint and just doing the whole thing doesn't make them look nicer. The Kaalakiota skin while not shiny...has a nice color scheme and a pattern on it. I'm just asking that some kind of effort be put in.

And what law says the normally utilitarian Caldari or the traditionally slapdash Minmatar can't have a shiny skin or for that matter...that the shiny amarr and gallente can't have some utilitarian or slapdash skins of their own?

Ugly skins are the punishment for flying ugly rust weasel ships.

The real crime is theres some amarr ships that dont have the GOAT khanid skin or imperial issue skins

Also surprised theres no metalic dark purple/black skins. Purple is the color of royalty.

This 3rd party app allows you to view all ships with the various skins.

Just make sure you select the 3D Preview button when you view the ship.
