We have heard your suggestions and have made some site and user experience upgrades. [EVE Exchange](https://eve.exchange) now provides all new users with one week of premium access! This includes new & existing accounts with our early subscribers given an extra month a thanks for their support. We promise to stay quiet and stop making threads for a while after this, but wanted to announce this important change as this was one of the most suggested ideas we received.

A lot of changes were also made to our internal scripts, upgrades to servers, and more in order to ensure smooth sailing once players begin using our premium features in mass. In addition to that and other small changes, we’ve now added a tool that can take a portfolio (group of items), and show you how many of it you can buy from any given region (at sell price), and which items might be in deficit. This will help players that stock stations or provide doctrine ships know the availability of a given fit (which can be imported through EFT) among other use cases. A lot more upgrades and ideas are on our short term roadmap, so the site as it is now is only the beginning. We’ll be adding more features to help track progress & development soon and other small UI upgrades. As always we appreciate the feedback & ideas for what features players want to see added.

To recap, and for those who don’t know what our website is, here’s our main list of features:

[https://eve.exchange] provides station and regional traders with unprecedented market visibility with unique tools found on no other public site including corporation level API support. Watch charts update in 5 minute intervals without refreshing your browser, or access daily data with moving averages to track long term trends. The market browser is instantly searchable and will help you quickly find desired items (and has been made better thanks to some critical feedback). Pin charts to your personal dashboard to view as many charts at a time as your screen size will allow.

Price Ladder & Order Tracking:
See all active orders in a hub with surrounding citadel buy orders in the region. The price ladder updates in real-time every 5 minutes and will show you the top 5% so you know which orders to pay attention to. Your personal orders will show up highlighted so you can quickly see if you're being undercut.

Multiple Regions & Trade Simulation:
Switch between hubs with the click of a button without having to refresh. The trade simulator will let you pick a trading strategy, set an undercut/overcut margin, taxes, overhead costs, and more, and instantly show your estimated profit for a trade. Copy the value into the game client to quickly make the trade.

Automated Profit Tracking:
View hourly statistics about your profitable trades, how many items you've sold, and overall best items and all time profit statistics. The profit chart will show hourly & daily aggregated statistics for profit & taxes.

Multiple Characters & Corporations:
Track unique trades, market orders, and profit for each API key you add, as well as overall statistics across all your profiles. T profile breakdown will show you which character or corporation is generating the most profit. Up to 5 API keys can be added per account, premium users getting up to 15 and corporation support.

Reference Guide:
Access complete documentation for all core features of EVE Exchange from within the platform. Find answers to common questions, guides on how to best utilize the platform, and read about usage scenarios for different types of traders.

Aggregate Items Into Portfolios (Premium):
Group items together to get updated prices across all of them every 5 minutes. Personalized charts will show you statistics over time and inform you which items are performing best as well as the value of your portfolio.

Trading & Investment (Premium):
Group together tradable items in individual quantities to track long term investments, fittings for seeding staging systems, or to watch your most profitable items. Simulates a trade every 5 minutes for each item to give you an overall profit value using your personalized settings. The performance chart will help you watch your investment grow.

Industrial (Premium):
Select any manufacturable item and instantly see all of components & base raw materials needed to build all of the components. Track the value of the item, components, and raw materials over time, track cost effectiveness of building vs buying components, and use specialized charts to see hot spots in the costs of the build.

Trade Forecasting (Premium):
Instantly search every item in EVE to find the ones that match your trading style. Search by a combination of minimum/maximum price, daily trading volume, and spread. Our region trading tool will quickly find you the best regions to haul items from and how much profit you’ll make at your destination.

Some might ask why we chose to only give a week of premium, and I think that can be summarised to the fact that players can make as many alts as they want now and simply by re-importing API keys, can essentially keep premium access as long as wanted with the only downside being losing some profit history. Maybe this is a good argument, maybe not, but it can make a big difference in the long term and we think this is a good compromise. If by the end of the week premium features aren’t meeting your expectations, then perhaps non-premium access is enough for you.

**TL;DR** Free week of premium access to EVE Exchange for all accounts, we’ve upgraded servers, we’re looking for feedback, ideas, and are planning new features so tell us what you want us to develop next.

Activating on this set's up a 7 day premium service and it appears that there is some attempt to setup some autorenew 150M isk premium account charge.

it's a cute try thou.

The auto renew is if you have isk in your account with us. It does not, let me repeat , DOES NOT pull isk from your in game account.

This is not possible and not what we are trying to do. If you sign up and send us two months worth of isk we dont want you to have to remember to subscribe every month. What Kosomot alleged we are doing is not factual.

Went to the website and saw this...

Under the sign in SSO button it says, "No registration required, instance access"

Shouldn't it say "instant access"?

Or am I understanding it wrong since English is my primary language?

As an aspiring trader, I decided to give it a shot and check this out.

First impression: I liked the look of the login page, but as Morgan pointed out, it should say "instant" instead of "instance". Correct that and it looks good.

Logging in: The setup looks simplistic but nice. Took a few seconds to get my bearing and see where the menu button was. At the Dashboard, it did not have anything but says, "You do not have any charts pinned to your dashboard yet.
You can do so from the Market Browser by selecting an item and clicking "Pin to Dashboard" from the top right context menu." So I went to the Browser and went to select Small Shield Booster I to check it out on the Dashboard. Upon selecting it from drop down menus, the screen went to a greyish overscreen where I thought it was thinking on what it was doing (or loading?) but no where on my screen do I see a "Pin to Dashboard". So even fifteen minutes trying to get anything on my dashboard, it is still blank.

Playing around: I managed to create a profile for a small shield booster and had to wait the five minutes for the update, showing the spread of profit and the breakdown. Now I liked what I saw very much, and it was interesting to see the calculations but honestly is not worth the 150m isk fee per month when you can do a Excel spreadsheet and see the same thing for free.

Second impression: I will hold this until I get home (at work right now) so I can concentrate on it more and see what I have in my updates since I did add my API to see if maybe it is my browser at work instead of home. I do not want to hold it against him if it is so I will continue with part 2 when I get home in a few hours.

Second impression: Starting off, I have to give an apology to Jakan. The issues I was having was due to the horrible browser I was dealing with at work. I got on my browser at home and was able to set up items easily on my dashboard, so I am sorry.

It looks nice and there is a lot of information available but I honestly am not sure if it is worth 150m isk a month. For me just starting out, 150m isk is quite a lot and definately cuts into my profits by using it. Like I said in the previous post, I could use a spreadsheet and come up with the same results, just not as good looking.

150m is too expensive honestly but that is my humble opinion...

Extra exposure is appreciated. Smile We will do our best to deliver a solid experience with our application. Out of curiosity, what kind of video's do you create?

Thank you for pointing that out, I'm quite embarrassed at not catching that error for so long. A fix has been pushed upstream.

Supporting older browsers, Internet Explorer, etc is always a challenge with such a complex single-page application. I'm still working on ironing out little bugs, improving the mobile experience, and so on. It's on my radar.

The premium features I would personally say are geared towards power users; granting features such as corporation keys, allowing more keys per account (some have 4+ keys), portfolio's for aggregating together large amounts of items, industrialists who need long term market data for tracking builds, etc. So for them, 150M might not be much if they're able to make strong use of specific features. That being said, we are still working on delivering a lot of new features in the near future such as eve-mail alerts, better analytics/forecasting, and so on. These are things that are a bit more difficult to do with spreadsheets alone, and we can provide a big convenience in organizing all of that data.

The free features alone can deliver some convenience of providing up-to-date information + charts, profit tracking, order tracking, price ladder, and so on (these are all free) which for a lot of traders is probably enough, and can work in tandem with regular spreadsheets. Its also the convenience of not having to pull a huge amount of market data from the API yourself as its always available on our site. That said, there's no obligation to upgrade, so if the basic features can help you, then by all means make the most of them. Part of our goal is to make all of this market data more easily accessible and to make trading more approachable.

Thank you for taking the time to give a detailed review about your experience. Full disclosure, I'm the developer of this application, so I welcome all feedback, suggestions, ideas, etc.

I will use it for the full week duration and give you a bit more feedback at that point.
