Hello,

I'm a returning player, a miner one, and this came up, cause it seems that there's a difference.

Can you help on this, plz, with a advice?

Thanks

If you were a miner prior to 2014, it was relatively easy to get 100% refining yield - you didn't even need level 5 skills. That is no longer true.

Refine your ore if you have maximum skill and access to a 50% or better facility with low/no taxes. Particularly true if you have a use for the minerals. Probably better to compress if you are simply planning to sell to buy orders.

You can add value to your ore by compressing it at any public Citadel free of charge.

Don't sell uncompressed ore to buy orders!

Shock horror , a buff to AFK mining has lead to a decrease in Ore prices . Big smile

Thanks all.

I do like the power to craft and to mine, so to achieve all that, it seems I must be at Omega state and have a lot skills to study...

By the way, how the research system works?!

There are a few parts to this.

Creating T2 Blueprint Copies. (BPC) - Technically called invention
What you do is train the Research skills required for a specific Blueprint, then using a T1 BPC + datacores + Decryptors you get a random chance to get a BPC (based on your skills and Decryptor) .

Upgrading BPOs

Datacore mining.
Train research skills + get good standing with agents and you can ask Research agents to research for you. This gains you RP which can be cashed in for Data cores. (this is not a good reason to get research skills, the ISK this creates is next to nothing. )
