On multiple occasions I am affected by this glitch where the display for hitpoints (shild armour hull), capacitor, speed, all modules and heat status completely stops working, and more often than not it freezes in whatever position.. The way i often find out is by the loss of my ship quite conveniently... See now i don't know why this repeatedly happens to me, seems to me it's the game breaking, what other reason is there for the display shutting off on me? Surely this isn't an option CCP has included in thier game?

On these occasions i'm usually just there write it off, what's a half a bil ratting ship anyways? But, on one recent occasion I have submitted a ticket to the GM's, and I bring this up now as once again it has just happened costing me a well fit machariel (680m according to your estimates CCP) but no, my point being I was told by the GM who handled the issue that he would replace it, but in the future there will likly be nothing they can do about that specific incident....

Now, I'm curious, am I the only person this happens to? And why would it be likely they wont help me with an ingame issue/glitch?


When the support team don't assist issues, and doesn't address a problem it just really puts me off a game..

I am aware of such things, and I agree, I'm not even bothered about the losses.. I'm bothered that a loss occurs when my HUD switches off and says I am still in shield for example.. I mean when you have to be told by a member of your fleet that you're about to die as opposed to being able to look at the display, it's a bit of a nuisance

While I can't really help you, it might be interesting to know what OS you run on ... There is a subforum for MacOS and Linux users.

Do you get a stable connection to the server ? It might be possible that your HUD doesn't update properly when your computer doesn't receive new packets in time.

Anyway, good luck troubleshooting the issue.

Sometimes If the UI is unresponsive, modules cycling but noone shooting, then client lost connection with server and will show you socket closed message. Do you get these messages? If not, then probably some kind of hang up of the client. CCP should look into it then.

Dont think the issue is the game,i gett the black capasitor only when multiboxing and think its related to your grapick card gpu or your internet connection,it can also be that you have a heat problem on your PC redusing preformance when in system with lot of items ships to lode,if it is an older PC tray open it and clean it.migth fix the problem if it is a heat issue.

I have these bugs too. They dont happen often, but when they happen they are really annoying.

There are more serious bugs though. For example, for over a year now i have this bug where local chat channel member list stops updating and i cant see who is in system anymore. I reported it twice already, still not fixed. Another bug prevents the overview from updating for several minutes when you warp to another location. Great fun!
