How to do this flying?

So I was warping around in nullsec, ran into what I guess was a 'bubble camp' and it stopped my ship. I instantly hit cloak and double-clicked off in a random direction. The guy who was camping was flying around trying to decloak me, and boy did he almost do it a couple of times. I kept having to change my direction over and over again, and I swear he came within 10m of doing it several times.

The guy was flying corkscrews and loop-the-loops through 3D space. It seemed quite impressive to me, and I really have no idea how he did it, or how to fly that way. About all I know how to do is use the overview to warp to objects, or maybe double-click this way or that way into space when doing impulse. I guess I have 2 questions.

1) Does anyone know how to do this kind of flying?

2) If 'yes' to #1 above, can you point me to a resource, a tutorial, etc? Or give some kind of explanation?

Thanks.

Ship spinning and double clicking in space.

I presume it would be easier to do this kind of thing if you were flying in the cockpit view.

Basically you double click in space like furious madman, pan the new around, repeat... all the while keeping your trajectory and supposed location of your target in mind.

Double clicking in space and rotating camera is a common way. I also like to go in to the First Person view and use the arrows keys to pilot around as well especially in frigates around stations or some mission collidables.

Like mentioned, get your directional keys keybound, I use WASD. I want to say they have no keybinds by default, you have to go in there. You also have first person mode too.

Yup the first thing I ever did with this game was setup my own personal 'grid hotkey' system, and my first idea was to use WASD for impulsing the ship around. Unfortunately, there were other higher-priority items to put on those keys, so they have remained on the arrow keys.
