There isn't anything on there other than the 'winter 2016 Drilling platforms'. Is there nothing to look forward to or what? Should we be worried the game is folding.? I cant remember a time when so little was on the agenda.

CCP already said the drilling platforms will be coming later in the winter.

They want to use this release to iterate on the Ascension features.

Because there is nothing really there. CCP asked CSM about ideas. That is what is going on.

Jump gates and New SKIN technology may be the two "surprises", but past that.... I see nothing.

You can say "why are you demanding more?" but its always about providing more.

This was always one of the main selling points of EVE online. Free updates. Long term visions. If it will be mistakenly replaced by "weee its f2p", CCP is toast...

Usually i don't 'whine' about expansions (time will come when something for me will be there too) but i don't like it when somebody tells me that 'you should be glad with what you got' when i really got nothing. Because it sounds more like 'be glad they didn't take anything from you' What?

Something is going on.

They still work on stuff like SKINS and this expanding of universe with probably opening Jove space and adding Stargates to colonize it. I think the events and some clothing stuff is also worked on, same as redesigning ships.

But there is nothing else I am able to bring up from what they were talking about. Its like stuff for next big expansion? What next?

Go and read the roadmap. The vision hasn't changed and is still on the same path we've known about for 2 years now.

Additionally, releases don't occur just every 3 months.

I would like to see one post JUST ONE POST where CCP have ever said they have any kind of plans what so ever to open Jove space. So flabbergasted by how often I read someone here or on reddit say "JOVE SPACE!" Ppl have tin foil hatting Jove space and/or jove as a playable race since 2003.

Back when i played we didnt even need that hub page with the adds.
It was just a client with a big nebula background and cool music and it gsve you a place to log in at the bottom

Plus it was the best theme song ever that really sold the game by itself

Back when I played I had only wireframe spaceships and no internet. But I dont play that game anymore.

To be fair to the OP, we do seem to be nearing the end of the roadmap CCP Seagull laid out when she took the helm. The big thing, the player stargates, probably will come the end of next year, at least in its first iteration, and then the new space shortly after. There is not much else on that roadmap, and nothing other than Drilling Platforms on the mid-term timetable.

Both Fanfest and Vegas this year had no real new details about the long-term direction of the game. We are probably due for some sort of update about both the mid- and long-term development of the game. That said, while it is fun to get excited about what may be down the road, and prudent to plan for it in some cases, you really should focus on having fun in the current game. This isn't a themepark game where the developers feed you the content, and things that are off the in future may never come to pass, or be what you expected.

The more-than-twice-a-year release schedule exists so that bug fixes and minor updates don't have to wait 6 months, not so that we get a new jesus feature every month. As they start to figure out what will be release ready before deadline, they'll start to advertise the crap out of it, pretend even the little things are a huge deal, like marketing people are wont to do.
