that's two game time codes or four plex. Even a newbie can find the stuff for that while setting up an EVE account on the main site.

On the 4 PLEX thing; good point - it's only what - $80? Quite feasible; but then they'd have to know how the market works, how much PLEX are selling for, what PLEX are (And there are players that have played a long time that doesn't understand where a PLEX comes from ... Lol)

Fortunately the OP has been active since early 2008? So definitely not a newbie, just blind to New Eden. Or maybe just logged in for the first time in 4 years yesterday.

2 60 day game time codes is about 60 bucks and are currently selling via secure transaction for 850 million isk apiece. or they were last I checked.

An interview seems legitimately to me, as this is only a conversation in order to determine, if you would fit into the corp; to introduce each other. No harm will be done here.

A full API key demand however is something to worry about (insight into foreign emails).

I really hope more ppl come to the forums and read your of experience, so they can then say "I should have taken notice of that persons situation" before they get scammed with this well advertised and well known scam.

What gets me though is that people don't do anything when the first or second "alarm bell" goes off - that does not compute

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

Do most true beginners know about PLEX, though? Granted, this is anecdotal, but I and most I started the game with didn't know about GTC-for-PLEX for at least a few months--mind you, if memory serves, the accounts-management page was a bit different/less-intuitive then, too...

Because we work so hard for Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka to help him make money for no damn reason other than out of the goodness of our hearts. Any idiot can register for Something Awful (which it's a good deal anyways. Paying to be in a community with less idiots. Then again that's not true).
