Alpha to Omega Upgrade?

I have an amazon gift card that I recently redeemed. I also started playing eve again. Last time I played was before the alpha clones were introduced. So my question is, should I purchase a plex or 1 month subscription through amazon? And if I do, will my toon be upgraded to Omega status?

Any of the official payment methods will unlock Omega for the duration. Typically, multi-month payment plans are cheaper (per month) than then 30 days at a time plans, and cheaper than PLEX (PLEX is tradable in-game so they keep it more expensive than other subscription methods).

EDIT: In addition, CCP is very likely to offer some sort of incentive in about 2 weeks (pre-Christmas); in the past years we've had special ships, ship skins, outfits, injectors, and other such things BUNDLED with the various subscription options, to entice us to subscribe.

You can either wait as Alpha, or grab whatever the cheapest 30-day method you find on Amazon or elsewhere, and in 3 weeks upgrade that to 3-month or 6-month or whatever CCP offers.

Take a look at the core starter pack through Amazon. It includes several goodies in addition to 30 days of Omega game time. Since your character is more than 14 days old the Prototype Cerebral Accelerator won't work but you should be able to sell it.
