Character Transfer from a closing account

I want to transfer this character to another account. This is the last character on the account which unsubs on Sunday at 4pm UTC.
If I transfer before downtime on Sunday, will I successfully receive the charactor onto my other account (toon frozen for 10 hours).

In the past, the account needed to remain active until the transfer was complete. Not sure if that is still true in the alpha era but I wouldn't take a chance - you'll need to sub for another 30 days if you miss. Start the transfer at least 10 hours before the account expires.

It's Friday so you got a couple days, make sure you initiate the transfer today and it should complete in time.

The reason I wanted to leave the transfer until the last minute was to continue skill training for as long as possible.

Well, you're risking having to pay for a PLEX (for another month of training) to gain 60k skillpoints per day. If that's what you want to gamble, it's better to outright pay the PLEX and get 2 skill injectors with it, gain 300k - 800k - 1 million skillpoints (depending on penalties) rather than the measly 60k you can train by waiting an extra day.
