addition pay model - to Eve online developers

Hello,

I would like to give you an idea to have an option permanently unlock one chosen skill for 0.29-0.99$ in free play mode. I think you will earn much more money like you have now.
For example, I will never pay 14.99 Eur for per month for eve online, which is more that Wold of Warcraft but I am open to pay some microtransactions to open some skill during game play. Think about it. I am certain that I am not alone. And it will have much more advantages which I will not describe it here.

Thats all what I wanted to tell.

Thank you and have a nice day.

That would be pretty toxic for the game, since there are a number of skills that are incredibly useful, especially on a disposable character or account, that could be unlocked and abused. If the character gets found out as a spy you can just make another since it's fairly cheap, especially compared to the cost of a subscription.

You could also open up a high multiplier skill and then use the character as a free SP farm for Skill Injectors.

Also if you're unwilling to pay $15 per month then you could sub for a longer time period and pay less, down to around $10 per month if you sub a year at a time.

Lastly, your math is simply wrong. CCP might bring in new customers, but over the long run (and Eve players tend to think long-term) it's much cheaper to unlock skills as you train them rather than paying a monthly fee. For example this character has 264 skills known, almost all of which are outside of what is permitted by the Alpha Clone state. That means that I could pay $264, or I could pay the ~$120 per year that I've paid over the last 8 years to keep the account running. While I might have to front-load a bit, $264 is clearly far less than the ~$960 I've happily paid CCP over the years to play this game.

So, welcome to Eve, this idea is terrible.

My advice, if you're really enjoying Eve then pay for six months, in that time you can easily get your character to a point where you can PLEX your account if you're still playing actively at the end of that time. Heck, if you're a bit clever you could probably earn PLEX while still in an alpha state, though that would take some work and serious thinking on your part about how to go about it.

If you enjoy Eve, you can play as an Omega for 37 cents a day. The knowledge and skill you acquire during your first year should let you PLEX your subscription if you want.

In Eve, player knowledge is a lot more important than character skill. Experienced players are doing some amazing things with Alpha clones and it is perfectly reasonable for a knowledgeable returning player to earn the PLEX they need to bootstrap their way back to Omega with the Alpha skill set. As a new player, you can learn just as easily as an Alpha, you don't need to buy access to individual skills - without knowledge, they won't help you. If you really want to speed up the process join a corporation that specializes in developing new players. https://imperium.news/alpha-positive/

Yup. Cyno and cloaking. For two bucks, otherwise free forever.

And that's not even getting in to PI.

Please god no.

Why would you suggest that?
That would completely undermine the entire skill system as well as the alpha/omega dichotomy..

Why would anyone ever train a skill again?
What purpose would PLEX have?
Wouldn't this totally replace CCP's monthly revenue with a bunch of flat fees?
What would that do to the game's economy? Character bazaar? Pandemic Legion's network of cyno alts?

All that and we get to enjoy the most cancerous, greedy, monetary system to have ever graced the world of video games.

We have a payment model in place that is working just fine for more then a decade. It is commonly known as subscription.

You want to pay something in a free to play mode? Roll

Just a small example: In order to somewhat fly a Hyena, you need somewhere around 18 unique skills. At 99 cents, you pay more money than a 6 months subscription to be able to use 1 single ship. At 30 Cents, you still look at nearly 4 Euro just to be able to fly 1 ship. Obviously, you need these prerequisite skills for other ships as well so you have to pay additional money to these 18/4 Euro for every ship/module/thing you want to use.
Obviously, since you talk about F2P, there is no permanent unlocking, my dear. Roll Instead, you will have to unlock skills in certain intervals (daily, weekly, monthly) so that CCP can make some money. Congratulations, your system costs you more than even the expensive single month subscription and you can just use 2 or 3 ships. Before you ever post a F2P idea ever again, please just reconsider and use your time more productively by biomassing your characters. Twisted

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.
