Typhoon PvE builds? long time player returning from a very long break.

Hello,

I am an old vet player who has been gone since they just released the new graphics engine update back in 2008 I think. I recently came back with the F2P and added a month of Omega. I have about 60 million sp, and a decent amount of ships. I wanted to set up my Typhoon for some of the PvE content. Sadly at my age now the thrill of the PvP has kind of waned and I tend to prefer to PvE now.

I would appreciate some builds to help me get back on track. My ship was set up with a few arbalest launchers and some rail guns at the time. Fortunately I have a bit of equipment and ISK still so if I need something I should be able to get it.

I am going to try to figure out any of the PvE story arcs to start out, I was reading about sisters of eve? I am not sure how to find the PvE arcs but I will continue to google it. I prefer PvE combat type missions over mining or anything like that. I was also never to good at PvP which is probably why I don't like it, lol.

nodoby is good at pvp until they train and keep doing it and gain a lot of experience.
Not being good at it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it, need only to find nice people to learn with.

typhoon interesting choice... not having experiece with that ship i'd opt for:

Rapid Heavies or Cruise (if you can't bear the reloading time) Missiles Launcher
Using mids for application: Target painter, web, prop mod, etc
Low: active armor rep
rigs: random

note that to complete the SoE destroyers/cruisers are good enough

I have a Navy Apoc, Navy Raven and some BC, HAC etc also. Something I always liked about the look of the Typhoon, although I was looking at that newer Barghest ship as I like missiles, but I don't know what I need to pilot that or how good/ expensive it is.

Ok this is how its fitted from back in the day, I have no clue if good/ bad or what so Ill take all advice as what to change. I did want to ask is all cruise launchers ok even for smaller targets now or is that for the drones?

if you check hull bonus, you'll notice that it receive bonus for missiles only.
so your autocannons are not the best choice.

if you're gonna rat a certain type of rats then you can adjust your resistance etc.

you are clearly in need of some help: join a corp in game and let them help you and teach you.
there are corps that do lvl4 missions in highsec, pretty sure that they will accept you

This is mine. With mastery V it has 1023 dps according to the fitting window. Cap boosted tank means easy mode.

That figure is with no hardwirings, so assuming you don't have mastery V, add some hardwires and you should get a decent performance. Garde II would boost the paper dps figure but they have such short range that I prefer to use wardens or curators.

No bling, just straight forward T2 fitting.

Is there a way to find those specific corps?

yup, there are specific parameters you can select in your ingame corp window that let you see specific corps,
otherwise you can use the forum section and check offers already existing or create a topic for yourself: pretty sure that recruiters will contact you.
